Okay, this is a tough one because looking up the lyrics will do you no good! This was a club hit in the late 80s/early 90s and it went "Ooooh, sh-shake it, ooh ooh, sh-shake it" and something about "I want to see! You! Shake it!" Any takers? MC Shy D's "Shake It." If that's it, some friends and I listened to this last night. We did, in fact, drunkenly "Sh-shake it." THAT'S IT! Thank you! Ten years of wondering.... I'd actually downloaded the Technotronic one a few years back thinking that was it, but alas.... Lemme know when you find out so I can get the black candles and eye of newt.

Okay...I have a very vague question that I hope someone can help me with.
What's the song being played in the current Pontiac G6 commercial? It sounds kind of Britishy. I did google, of course, but I don't think it's Kasabian, Citizen Cope, or Razorlight. Help?

I'm sure I've heard a variation of NERD's track Rock Star with a much faster beat than the track I can find on the In Search Of album. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

The song was in one of the many Break-Up trailers. Anyhow, it featured an actor singing "..... of the future!" Any idea?

Does anyone know if there is more than one version of the Tupac (or 2Pac, if you'd rather) song Holler if Ya Hear Me? I remember hearing a version that didn't have that car alarm sounding noise in the background and instead had a much stronger bass line. I cannot find it for love nor money, and I am not really that familiar with Tupac's stuff but I love my remembered (imagined?) version more than the one I keep finding on various cds. It is annoying and frustrating.

Is anyone familiar with the music of Labi Siffre?
Years ago, I was channel-surfing on the radio and caught the last half of a gorgeous (to me) song by this singer. Before that day I'd never heard of him or his music.
Anyway, while I can still remember the melody, I can only recall bits and pieces of the lyrics.
I do know that the main/opening line of the chorus is, "And (or "as") the wind blows." There's also a line about a lion (I think) and something about the heartbeat of his children (still talking about the lion here). The only other words I can recall are at the end of the chorus (and song). They are, "...got to cross the white (or "wide") line." He repeats this a couple of times as it fades out to the end.
I'd really like to get the cd that has this song. So, a title and especially a link to an audio clip of it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure the answer is embarrassingly obvious and I have no idea if this is an old or new song, but I've heard it a few times on the radio lately. It's a female singer with a group of other females joining in the chorus, which sounds like they're singing "the D-I-T" or "the V-I-C" or any number of similar-sounding acronyms or even possibly words that sound similar. Possibly at some point they say " It's upbeat and sounds like pop rock. I couldn't tell you much more than that, but I could sing it for you...I think I'll probably need to pay closer attention the next time it's on.
Edit: Okay, the answer IS embarrassingly obvious. My sister informed me it's KT Tunstall singing "Suddenly I See." Der.

I'm after the title and singer for the Dirty Dancing song that's playing when Johnny and Baby are dancing in his bedroom right before they have sex. Ironically and frustratingly, neither of my 2 fave songs from this movie are on this soundtrack. The other one is 'Do u Love Me'. But anyone know this one? Similar situation, but probably no one will no the answer for this one, is in the Top Gun movie, one of the most beautiful pieces of music i've heard is the instrumental one that's playing when they're in the water and CTC is clutching Goose's body. It's criminal that the whole piece isn't on the soundtrack, and i don't know if it's ever been played in it's entirety anywhere else.
