ETA- I have got a song of my own that I want the title and artist. It is a Spanish song but clearly sung by an Italian. In the end, he just goes la, la, la. That's the Spanish version of an Italian song called "La mia storia tra le dita" by Gianluca Grignani. Album "Destinazione Paradiso", his first one.I think I've heard the Spanish version, but the original is so much better. I used to have a mad crush on him when I was in juniour high.

Could be 'Sandcastles' by Anji Bee. Does it go 'we'll build sandcastles in the sky, never question how or why'?

Thanks for the answer Plush. Chonies had already given me the answer through PM, but good to know the Italian version's name because I downloaded that one too.

Okay, this is a tough one because looking up the lyrics will do you no good! This was a club hit in the late 80s/early 90s and it went "Ooooh, sh-shake it, ooh ooh, sh-shake it" and something about "I want to see! You! Shake it!"
Any takers?

Here's a mystery song I hear all the time over the Muzak system at my store. I'm not up on popular music, but it seems pretty recent. It starts off with a male chorus singing, "My break, my break, my break-break" and goes into the lyrics, something like: "Now I go and see you again, Now I'm breaking down again." And back to the "My break, my break, my break-break" rising male chorus. I have no idea who sings it or what it's about. It seems to me like it's from the musical "Rent" but I could be wrong.

I will make sure to not buy that album if, for some unknown reason, I am running through A&B Sound like a madwoman. I have another "what the fuck is THIS song?" question, though. I heard a godawful cover of Leonard Cohen's "Bird on a Wire" today. It had the generic lite rock backing music, and the idiot who clearly failed textual analysis was singing "freeeee! Free as!" during the "bird on a wire" part, and during an instrumental interlude. I must know who this is so I can wish karmic harm upon him.

No, it's not Sir Paul, it's someone or some group much younger.

If that's it, some friends and I listened to this last night. We did, in fact, drunkenly "Sh-shake it."
