Hope somebody knows but here goes. Late '70s to early 80's. Male singer (it was big in Europe) and it was in the background of an ABFAB episode when the girls were getting p*ssed in a ski lodge..
She can drink brandy without getting her lips wet There was a reference to pearls It was kind of a ballad/lament about a woman.
Thanks anyone!

I think the song you're thinking of is "Where do you go to my lovely?" by Peter Sarstedt. And when the snow falls you're found in Saint Moritz With the others of the jet-set And you sip your Napoleon brandy But you never get your lips wet, no you don't
But where do you go to my lovely When you're alone in your bed Won't you tell me the thoughts that surround you I want to look inside your head, yes I do
Oddly, the only way I know that song is that Jennifer Saunders also used it in a French and Saunders sketch.

Okay so I do not know any of the lyrics to this song, all I know is that I liked it and want to download it. The video was completely in regular drawn animation and it showed a chick on the subway, going to the park, etc. It was shown on Mtv2 a lot when they played videos about 2-3 yrs ago. Someone please help me!

Sorry, but I'm back. I should know this one but my menopausal brain isn't functioning. Teenage son is driving me crazy with what song is this? : Some people call me the Space Cowboy of Luuv, some people call me Maurice... I know the damn song, I just can't think of its name. He won't stop screeching "ganstaaa of luurve". around the house in his cracking voice until we can name that tune!! Please help shut him up.....

For the last one: "The Joker" by Steve Miller, I do believe.
I prefer the Homer Simpson version, myself.

Indeed it is. I, too, love the Homer Simpson version.

Oooh, I got one. I heard this song about a week ago, and loved it, but didn't get a chance to write down the artist/title. It sounded a lot like Fiona Apple's "Extraordinary Machine", and the chorus line kept repeating "It's contagious". Anyone?
