I didn't even think about asking in here, because you all would probably know the answer to this question: Which Christmas Album is the best from Frank Sinatra ? I ended up choosing the Frank Sinatra Christmas Collection but I had no idea he had so many choices. P.S. If you like Sinatra style Christmas music, Tony Bennett's A Swingin' Christmas is awesome, with gorgeous versions of "The Christmas Waltz" and "All I Want for Christmas is You". Highly recommended! Edit: No, I didn't. I bought A Jolly Christmas from Frank Sinatra which is a little sleepy, but does have the regularly-played versions of "Jingle Bells" and "Mistletoe and Holly".

Forever1267, I love Frank Sinatra and though I own a lot of his music, I actually don't have any albums of his.
I just finished listening to James Taylor's Christmas album at work and I was this.close to emotionally breaking down after his version of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas." I hate you PMS and I hate you James Taylor because your voice just cuts into my soul!!!

I'd like to find some good Christmas albums this year. But Christmas doesn't even begin to start for me until I hear Feed the World, and Bono admonishes me that "tonight thank God it's them instead of you." That line rocked my ten year old brain, and I can't do Christmas without a side of serious Irish Catholic guilt.
My all time favorite is Little Drummer Boy. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir version makes me cry, as it does my Jewish husband too. However, the Bob Seger version moves me not at all.
I hate Baby it's Cold Outside with a white hot passion. I can't dive for the radio fast enough when it comes on. Roofies, much? Ugh! Haaaaaaaaaaaate.

I hate Baby it's Cold Outside with a white hot passion. I can't dive for the radio fast enough when it comes on. Roofies, much? Ugh! Haaaaaaaaaaaate. Key & Peele did a dark and, um, conversation-starting, sketch relating to that. It was unseasonally cold the other night, so I listened to some Xmas music. I love Mary-centered stuff (Gaudete [Steeleye Span or Mediæval Babes, not the fancy church choir versions], The Angel Gabriel, Mary's Boy Child, and even Coventry Carol. I just found one album I bought years ago that had original carols, so I will load it onto my mp3 files--it's has the Waitresses and John Prine, among others. In newish stuff, I love the Los Straightjackets' xmas album. Many individual carols have been written about on the Wikipedier--I read somewhere that O Come All Ye Faithful has a double meaning as a Jacobite protest song. And in wtf news, punk band Bad Religion has released a Christmas album. All the standards plus a new cover of American Jesus.

I have been listening to BBC Radio online at work lately. Do they usually play a good variety of Christmas music?
I have heard only one Christmas song in a store so far. It was in Carter's (?) and it was "Wonderful Christmastime" by Sir Paul. I was okay with that.
