What Christmas songs should be retired forever?
For me it's "Santa Baby" and "Wonderful Christmastime" (sorry Sir Paul).

"Wonderful Christmastime" can vanish in a flash of Christmas magic and that would be gift enough.

I truly can't believe "Wonderful Christmastime" isn't a joke. Like, Sir Paul is totally punking us or something. It is such an abomination. Assault on the ears

Mine is "I want a hippopotamus for Christmas." I'm sure that somewhere there's a nice cover of it, but holy cow. Icepick in the ears.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland. I didn't used to hate it, until the day I was at Subway eating lunch and heard 5 different versions of it within 30 minutes. I'm not exaggerating.

I have long held the belief that "Maybe I'm Amazed" gets Paulie a lifetime pass. He can unleash as many "Say say say"s and "Ebony and Ivories" as he wants, because, dammit, "Amazed" is, well, amazing.
Everytime I hear "Wonderful Christmastime", I pause and rethink that philosophy.
I also think he's straight up serious on it. No punking involved. Parenthood does weird things to your brain.

Maybe I'm Amazed and Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five! I swear he wrote Wonderful Christmastime to be the complete opposite of Happy Xmas (and it is... in a bad way). I love to put on Pandora's Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, and Sinatra holiday stations. Christmas in New Orleans is a favorite.

You guys, I love Wonderful Christmastime SO MUCH!!! Seriously. I may be the only one.
As for my hate list, I Want a Hippopotamus..., Santa Baby, Baby It's Cold Outside, Nuttin' for Christmas, Feliz Navidad...and I'll have to agree with Winter Wonderland; that song is pretty awful.
