Does MTV actually show videos anymore?
MTV Espanol still plays videos, albeit of Latin American singers and groups. With no commercials, even, and I've yet to see a silly reality show on there.
I like to YouTube old vids, even if the quality isn't that great. I'm putting together a Glam Rock playlist that promises to be pretty awesome.

I really liked that video baff! That was so bittersweet and fitting. What cute little creatures! I enjoyed the remix as well.  I'm currently scouring YouTube for Magnetic Fields videos. They haven't actually released many, so most are fan vids, and not terrific ones at that. However, this one[/color] and this one are quite good. I hope they actually make it through all 69 of the love songs. Yeah, I love the Magnetic Fields. You noticed? |

It's funny seeing Magnetic Fields mentioned here, as I just heard about them for the first time this week -- all because of the ukulele. I bought my own uke this week and I'm currently learning Stephin Merritt's Ukulele Me, which sadly I can't find a video for. But thanks for the MF videos, starskin!

Oooh, you're learning to play the ukulele? That is SO awesome! Yeah, Stephin Merritt is a great source for uke songs. MF are amazing...I don't know why they aren't massively popular. I'm always glad to share the love! ETA: Here is another vid, this one actually by the band. Mmm. Androgyny. |

Oh, I like that one, starskin! So lovely! So many songs to learn to play; so little understanding of how to play!  One of my favorite musicians has a video out now that I find entertaining, plus I really like the song. Samuel Flynn Scott is one of the singers of The Phoenix Foundation, but he put out a solo album in 2006 that's really fantastic. This song, War Over Water, is from that album. |

I heard that the video for U2's Window in the skies was awesome and just saw it on YouTube and it's brilliant! It's all different famous musical artist footage put together signign their song. Really well done.

Does MTV actually show videos anymore? MTV has another station that is called MTV Hits and it plays videos most of the time and they are recenty videos. Unfortunately they are on this hits streak where someone in particular picks their favorite videos and I get annoyed when I come across three hours of rap videos. And I am really wondering why they have decided to play the summer hits section when it is January. |

There's a cable channel called International Music Feed (IMF) that plays only videos. It's supposed to be worldwide, but there's a bias toward the English-speaking artists.

I used to have IMF when I had satellite about 2 years ago. They used to play more obscure foreign videos, but it sounds like they may have shifted gears a little since then. It's good that they still only play videos, though.
