I love Manchester United and would die of happiness if David ever went back there. I bet he would die of happiness if he ever went back there too. I bet he would have chosen Man U over L.A. Galaxy. That man is a Red Devil until he dies and I love it!

I agree. If Man U had wanted him, he'd have come. I think he confirmed his loyalty by saying that he couldn't have gone to any other English club. As hard as it always was for me to watch him play for Real, and as much as I don't really want him at LA Galaxy, I don't think I could have forgiven him if he'd moved to another Premiership club. Well, I might've forgiven him if he looked at me like this.

There was no way Becks was going to be playing for any other Prem team other than United. That would be, well, unforgivable. Speaking of, so excited for the season to start next weekend.
He'll have to do more than just give me that puppy dog look ... oh, who am I kidding, I'd probably melt.
Oh, America, how fickle you are. Sad to see that he's getting booed for not playing. This is the stuff I didnt want to see him go through.

I saw some of those signs too, anon. What do they expect him to do, play when he's injured and put himself out for even longer? As it is, he shouldn't have played against Chelsea, that can't have made him heal any quicker.

I was at the game yesterday - every time they showed Becks on the big screen the crowd loudly booed him. I did feel bad for his teammates that they introduced them as "david beckham and the LA Galaxy".

I don't understand the booing. The man is injured! They don't expect other athletes to play with an injury, so why should he? I guess MLS is to be blamed for marketing every game as the Becks spectacle.
In a shallow note, I disapprove of the sweater wrapped around his waist look he's sporting in those baseball pics. A temporary lapse in judgment, yea?
Partying in his trackies? Tsk, tsk. But good on him for bonding with the teammates.

Eh, Americans like to boo. He was paid a godforsaken amount of money to play and he's not, the reason isn't important. Ask Jeter's teammate A-Rod what it feels like to be booed for being overpaid while underperforming.

In this case it was Canadians that were booing - we're usually nicer than that although Jays fans also gave A-Rod a hard time this week but that's because he's a tool and lacking class.
I think (saying this as a former Mancunian and die-hard Man U fan) that he's overpaid and overhyped. Frankly he always manages to choke come World Cup time - I've never bought the hype about what a great player he is as I've always failed to see it.
Apparently tickets for the Toronto MLS game were going for several hundred dollars due to the anticipation that Becks would be playing so I can understand that fans would be pissed that he had a gimpy ankle.
Now I'm curious as to whether his bad ankle prevented him from dancing up a storm at the club.

David doesn't strike me as a dancer. He seems way too shy.
