He is a genuinely nice person. I met him a few years ago after a Man Utd match. The whole team came out the player's lounge to get on the team coach - some walked straight past the fans waiting and got on the coach, some signed a few autographs then got on, and David was the only one out of the whole team who stayed and signed autographs for everyone who wanted one. And he did this while he was being semi-groped by me and my friend. He's a professional ;D

If Pele and other players better than him couldn't do it, I don't see why he thought he could. Pele tried to warn him. He should have gone to Italy and forgotten all about this US experiment. |
