The Kinks "Days" always gets me,
I bless the light, I bless the light that shines on you believe me, and though you're gone, you're with me every single day believe me

I'll throw in a few of mine. Wildfire by Michael Martin Murphey. This has always made me cry. Are You Alright by Lucinda Williams is such a beautiful song And whenever I need a good cry I throw on Billie Holiday's Solitude. Ooh! She ran callin' Wiiiiildfiiire.... aw. I didn't think anyone listened to that besides my dad and I.

Has anyone mentioned that Loggins & Messina song that goes "even though we ain't got money, i"m so in love with you honey..."? Yesterday I was humming it at work and started tearing up. I guess the words are hitting too close to home right now. That or I'm crazy.

I cry every time I hear "Don't Cry Daddy" by Elvis Presley.

Ashokan Farewell--from Ken Burns' Civil War soundtrack I second you on that one. I can cry just thinking about it. And then there's the letter that Sullivan Belleau or somebody wrote to his wife on the eve of the Battle of Gettysburg where he was killed and he says something like, "If I don't come back, remember me when the wind caresses your cheek. That will be me." "I despise sentiment!" Carole Lombard from Twentieth Century. Also, Dolly Parton singing Coat of Many Colors makes me misty eyed. And I like quilting.

Same with 'Lili Marlene.'

There is a very sad part of my personality that continually plays Keane's "A Bad Dream" over and over again in my head...

When I was young -- six or seven or so -- someone in my family was playing an old Loretta Lynn album with a song called "Christmas Without Daddy." I remember very little about the actual song, but I do remember crying so hard that they had a hard time calming me down.

The District Sleeps Alone Tonight by The Postal Service is one sad song! Do NOT play this song during a breakup. Please.
Damn, that's sad...in a mature, grown up sort of way, but it still makes me cry at times.
