Agree 100% with all you said deeconsistent.
Re; Black Widow- I came on here to kinda eat my words- I saw the trailer and actually got excited to see this. I think it looks great (it is just a 1st trailer- but I can admit when I am wrong).
eta: I still find ScarJo gross for supporting Allen. I am continually blown away at the excuse making people use to defend him marrying his daughter wife. Ronan put it quite well in an interview: I now live a life where my sister is also my step mother.(this is a paraphrase) If you don't find that messed up- well then... I don't know.

The trailer didn't look all that interesting to me. Typical Marvel stuff with explosions, fights and light humor.

Has anyone ever seen the SNL skit with Kristen Wigg for Red Flag? That's what this reminds me of.

So she did get nominated for Best Actress for Marriage Story, but she's widely expected to lose to Renee Zellweger. Given how weak Renee seems as a competitor, I wonder how Scarlett would've done if she hadn't soured everyone's perception of her with her recent comments.

Given how weak Renee seems as a competitor, I wonder how Scarlett would've done if she hadn't soured everyone's perception of her with her recent comments. Yeah, the industry usually loves actresses like Scarlett Johansson to win Best Actress or Best Supporting Actress sort of like a Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts, Catherine Zeta-Jones, etc. type of huge female star, generally at the height of her career or at the very least having a banner year like how Sandra Bullock took two movies to astounding box office totals when she won, but she never gained any traction likely because of how she's made people mad over the years. Plus Renee Zellweger has already won before, didn't make much of note after her win, then disappeared for a long time, and when she came back, she still didn't really make anything of note, yet she's going to cruise to her second win in the much tougher, leading category. So bizarre. It's so odd because she got two double nominations too which generally means that they'll give the actor something if they haven't won before. Sigourney Weaver and Julianne Moore remain the only two actresses that didn't win before, and didn't win the year that they received double nominations, but it seems like Johansson is destined to join them. On one hand, I don't really care that much because I'm not a fan of Johansson, but on the other hand, as much as I liked Zellweger in Judy, I don't know that I would give her a second Oscar. I'd rather a Johansson, Ronan, or Erivo win since they've never won before. To give Johansson credit, I'm usually not that impressed with her acting, but she was the best thing in Jojo Rabbit for me, and she held her own with Adam Driver, for the most part, in Marriage Story.

Whatever about Scarlett Johansson, how had Sandra Bullock made people mad over the years? That’s MUCH more interesting to me than the Oscar-bait performance getting and Oscar nomination.

Whatever about Scarlett Johansson, how had Sandra Bullock made people mad over the years? That’s MUCH more interesting to me than the Oscar-bait performance getting and Oscar nomination. Sorry that was worded awkwardly. I meant that Johansson didn't really gain any traction to be able to win likely because people don't like her. For instance, the Oscar pundits all positioned Zellweger as the early favorite after Telluride, and never hyped up Johansson at all. Then the big critics like National Board of Review, New York Film Critics Circle, Los Angeles Film Association, and National Society of Film Critics all went with other actresses despite the fact that actress could have been an easy place to award Marriage Story which is one of the top 5 highest rated films of the year if they were looking for a place to award it of course. She did end up picking up quite a few regional awards around late December, but generally if she won, it was with her co-star Driver, only once or perhaps twice, did she win without Driver also winning. (Driver basically won everything at the regional level except for a handful of groups. Banderas won the top tier awards though, and of course Phoenix is likely to win all the televised awards.) The Oscars sort of become a self fulfilling prophecy, so perhaps she would have been hyped more from the beginning as the one to beat, or at least the one that might beat Zellweger, she might have won, or at least had more of a chance to win. Zellweger does have the baitier role, but again it's just odd for someone like Zellweger to win a second Oscar especially in the leading category when Johansson is in the much stronger film. In some cases, like with Hilary Swank, it made sense because her second win was for a Best Picture winner, and she also tied at the National Society of Film Critics, and her competition were in weaker films. Even Jessica Lange who won her second in leading as a lone nominee for her film, made sense, because Jodie Foster had already won twice, and the other nominees were in films that weren't very strong either similar to Blue Sky. Plus Blue Sky was the last film directed by Tony Richardson, and I believe that Lange won LA too.
