Well Scarlett is going to face this "death" way sooner than your average 19 year old actress.... I say this because she is rapidly being type cast as the femme fatale, homewrecker, object of desire (generally for older men) and all this AT 20 (I can't think of the exact roles, but I've seen more than one trailer lately with her playing this character)
I mean seriously what types of roles will she get at, say, 30? (when other actresses have played the above type roles) Shouldn't she be playing more of an ingenue role at her age? Me thinks she's peaking early.
Edited because Solly pointed out that she's not 19 now (apparently 20)

Is she really only 19? Seems to me as if she's been 19 for at least two years, ever since LiT was released.

I do commend Miss Scarlett for not dieting/coking herself into wraithdom, but I don't think her body is all that -- pigeon-toed, round-shouldered, and vaguely flabby is no way to go through life, son.

What has Bill Murray said about her? Why doesn't he like her?

I get what she's saying, and it is nice that she seems to have something of a brain. But it is pretentious and no one wants to hear that from a teenager who, in general, seems to have a rather high opinion of herself. It justs seems like less of a philosophical observation that way.
As for whether her statement is a diss or come on, I think it is a little of both. I think she is facinated with the power she has over older men, and while she thinks they are silly creatures for drooling all over her, she also seriously craves the attention -- making her just as bad as them, really, and her comments about them and older women/younger women all the more tiresome.
ETA: I don't think Bill Murray has specifically said anything bad about her, but rumors were flying that she was a bit of a diva and he didn't like her, and it was really clear just from his behavior and body language during the promotion of LiT and whenever they all had to appear together to collect awards that he isn't all that fond of her. I also think that in award acceptance speeches both he and Sofia Coppola thanked everyone under the sun except her. After people started noticing this, Sofia did make a point to thank her in some speech.

Bill Murray probably doesn't like her because she's a total snot. Growing up in NYC people who went to school with her were always saying how stuck up she was. The first time I heard the word bitch was someone talking about ScarJo, actually. I'm sure she could have changed, but the interviews I've seen don't show anything but an incredibly snotty person. Who looks like a goldfish.

What has Bill Murray said about her? Why doesn't he like her? I think it's more the fact that he and Sofia C. don't say anything about her. When Lost in Translation was winning all those awards they talked about each other constantly but there was a conspicuous lack of quotes about ScarJo. I think that's where alot of the "Bill Murray doesn't like her" stuff comes from. But I could be wrong.

The lack of quotes about ScarJo seems to be the rule for everyone involved in that movie. On the DVD there is a "making of" special where a lot of the crew members were interviewed. All of them were gushing about Bill Murray (both the American and Japanese crew members), and only one person said something about ScarJo - I think it was something like "she's pretty." Other than that, no one breathes a word about her.

Wow. Come to think of it...in the "making of" In Good Company Scarlett isn't mentioned much either. I think Topher Grace fawns over her a little -- albeit very professionally. But Topher is such a doll and his comedic skills steal the show from Scarlett in every scene with her.

Whoa - OK, that "internal death" comment was pretty bad. Imo, it's the context, the who's saying it, not necessarily that it's been said (because yeah, there's some ugly, unfortunate truth to it). She's very tactless. Obviously not stupid, but extremely tactless, and I feel like if she's not cringing and curling her toes in red-faced anguish at those quotes in oh, say, 10 years, then there's something wrong.
