I rewatched the Ireland v All Blacks match even knowing the result knowing we won it was edge of the seat stuff. I've known for a while we have a good team a team thats the Best in the Northern Hemisphere a team that should do well in World Cups next year in Japan Rugby World Cup 2019 I want to see a semi final at the very least. A final shouldn't be beyond expectations if they keep this form. Coach Joe Schmidt steps away after next yr World Cup whatever happens he will be in Irish folklore/legend forever along with his teams. And he is a Kiwi!

While the tennis was going on apparently it was all go at the Cricket World Cup Eng v New Zealand I believe I know nothing of cricket except now for the mighty fact that England’s World Cup Winning team was Captained by an Irishman Dublin born Eoin Morgan how that came about I don’t know but hey Well Done That Man! and team.

Rugby World Cup is starting today and I’m excited and insanely nervous* Ireland could do well really well or they could break my heart.
I’m not as optimistic as my earlier post now Its come around.

Ireland play Scotland first this Sunday, after that then host Japan (they beat South Africa in an incredible match in last World Cup so v nervous about this one) then Russia and Samoa before the knockout stages...yes it goes on from now until the final in Nov 2,
If Ireland are breaking my heart I’ll be quiet, If otherwise I’ll try to contain myself ( There will be editing ahead)
Anyway Cmon Ireland!

* nervous because as of the 16th of September we edge the World No1 spot over NZ and England.
I’m used to us going into to these things as plucky underdogs!

Ireland play Japan on Saturday morning early this is the one worrying me as hosts the have home advantage and they are top of the group with us so it’s a big game for both. With my ability to jinx with distance I might stay in bed with one eye on the internet rather than getting up and watching behind cushions.

I love rugby enough to know that for the sport Japan beating Ireland as World Number 1 in Japan will do wonders for the game in general. Japanese fans are feeling now as Irish have in big wins against NZ and others on top of the world. Rightly so.

Ireland have qualified for the quarter finals. Yay! But will go any further yet again?!!
Due to Typhoon Hagibis(sp) Japan vs Scotland may be called off tomorrow, then Japan will top the group and face South Africa in the QF’s and Ireland face New Zealand... Yikes! I know Ireland can beat both SA and All Blacks but but still Yikes!
If it’s played and Scotland win it’s the other way round!

This is a general question, but when athletes get suspensions for red cards, is it normal for them to bring in a lawyer? Or is that sport-specific? I just read about Bundee Aki, an Irish rugby player, who was challenging the refereeing this way and I had questions.

NZ are NZ so hard to look past them they are going three in row. So my head is saying them
England have won before as have South Africa. Wales are on a high so could crash down to earth to SA

Oh, MAN: The Washington Nationals heard that Drumpf/45 had tweeted that he was gonna attend "Game 5" of the Washington Nationals vs Houston Astros World Series in Washington. That would be only IF the Nats, now up 2-0 in games, haven't already won it. So the Nats replied today that he hasn't been asked to throw out the first pitch, that glory will go to hero Chef Jose Andres, who "fed Puerto Rico" after the 2017 hurricane.
