England beat The Blacks 19 -7 to get to World Cup Final!! They had held NZ scoreless first half but I was sure that NZ would come back but nope, It’s All Blacks first defeat in World Cup since 2007. England won it back in 2003 Wales v South Africa semi final tmrw.

Wales is the only team left without a championship, right? I’m happy for either South Africa or Wales to go through as long as either of them crush England.

Edit From Oct 27 South Africa beat Wales by 3 So it a Northern hemisphere team v Southern Hemisphere team final. Engl v South African I’ll stick with my scientific out of the hat prediction with SA. Tho should England win Ireland will really enjoy beating The World Champions again in The Six Nations next season as we did after the 2003 win!! TodaySOUTH AFRICA!World Cup Champions beating England 32 -12. I missed the match only saw the last 15 mins on +1hr channel. Bad rugby fan! A bit of history again for Springbok Rugby, what it means to Captain Siya Kolisi Kolisi is the first black South African to captain the Springboks in an international test match and lead a World Cup winning team. From Twitter It’s only a game but Siya Kolisi, who grew up in a township where his favourite toy was a brick, is about to lift the Rugby World Cup trophy. If that doesn’t touch you, then you need to check your pulse.
and from Kolisi himself when asked did he dream of WorldCups growing up ...No I dreamt of where my next meal was coming from. I might have a lot of dust in my eye. Japan has hosted this World Cup magnificently can’t wait to see them host The Olympics next year.

Katie Taylor, World Champion She's been this little island boxing golden girl for sometime now and I worried about her going pro but no need for worry I never doubted Katie just the pro world. Huge admiration and Congrats to Our Girl. Few years later from this post Kate Taylor retains world belts after another epic against Delfine Persoon and remains undefeated in 16 pro fights And to think I was worried about her future in pro boxing! Well done Our Girl. And the bloody stupid Sky Sports talking heads call her Team GB Olympian before the fight eh no no nope Team Ireland Edit I didn’t see my above post sorry I know it’s a year but I don’t mean to turn this in to Katie Taylor thread or a Rugby thread either( it’s back tho local stuff so I’ll be quiet on that front for a while yet)

Ireland’s Sam Bennett wins The Green Jersey in the Tour de France, and wins the final stage in Paris. The last Irishman to win Green Jersey was Sean Kelly in 1989, Both men are from Carrick on Suir Co Tipperary. Incredible achievement from Sam! Tadej Pogacar Is the overall Tour de France winner. Edit This is lovely Sam’s Grandad cheering him on at home tho he would have been cheering him in Paris if it weren’t for bloody Covid!

Mr. Tanyak and I always watch the TDF and really enjoyed this year's event. I really like Peter Sagan, so I'm a little sad that he wasn't in top form this year. Maybe it's just the beginning of the end. Pogacar laid.it.down in the time trial. That was amazing.
