The wedding is approaching and it is being televised. Link. Not on BBC1? That feels like a snub to me. They went all out for Meghan and Harry's wedding.

In the states it's going to be aired live on TLC. That's a big step down.

The major networks stated stated that the level of viewership they anticipated for Eugenie's wedding was very low and didn't justify blocking out the airtime. It was a business decision.
In my real life, everybody I know got out of bed early on Saturday morning and joined the 29 million other people in the US who watched Harry and Meghan's wedding. Old friends were texting me during the ceremony to see if I was watching. Almost none of those same people know who Eugenie is or that she's getting married.
She's simply nowhere near as famous as Harry and there's no reason why the world should be forced into caring. I don't think the poor princess is suffering an indignity that her multi-million dollar wedding is *only* being television on ITV and TLC.

I'm surprised it's being aired at all. I haven't heard anyone in real life mention it. (I'm in the UK.) I'd completely forgotten it was taking place until an American on another board I'm on said it was being aired.

I just had to go Google the date. I knew it was coming in October, but didn't exactly have it on my calendar.
I definitely won't get up early, but I'll DVR it and fast forward to the highlights. TLC seems like an appropriate network to clear time from Say Yes to the Dress marathons for a minor royal wedding.

TLC seems like an appropriate network to clear time from Say Yes to the Dress marathons for a minor royal wedding. That's my plan as well, I'm DVRing it and watching it later. And I too am surprised that they're airing it here at all. I was expecting to just content myself with pictures on Tom & Lorenzo and Go Fug Yourself.

If Andrew really wants everyone to watch, he should've persuaded Mummy to give us a day off. It's on a Friday for Christ's sake, no one's taking a day off work to watch Eugenie get married. I'll record it and then watch it over the weekend to snark on the Clooneys.

Churches and reception halls are less expensive on Friday nights. They’re cost cutting to bring this in under budget!

Queenie mustn't be giving The Yorkies mates rates. 😁

Wow, the Daily Mail are going for it. The top story on their website (don't judge me) is about how Eugenie and Jack have an ancestor in common who was in the slave trade. I quote:
I think we can guess how the wedding coverage is going to go.
