I would be pissed. Poor Eugenie.

I went to church with my brother and SIL shortly after my niece was born. It may have been their first outing. They were thinking about buying a mini van from one of their fellow parishioners. My SIL was talking to some friends so my brother and I took the van for a test drive.
My SIL, who is truly a lovely person, was SO MAD that we had left her behind that she was in tears. She said, “Didn’t it occur to you that I might want to do something?”
We knew better than to try to be reasonable. We were abject in our apologies and took her out to lunch. We laugh about it now but I will never underestimate what new mom hormones can do to the emotions.
All that to say, Jack needs to shape up. Eugenie has real cause for grievance.

One of the models on the yacht with Jack has apologized.
"I usually never go topless, but my bikini got wet and I decided to take it off. I know it does not look right for Jack and his family."
Isn't a bikini made to get wet and then dry pretty quickly? I mean, these ladies were pictured swimming with Jack so...yeah. Lame excuse. But Sarah Ferguson was first to get on the horn and defend everyone so clearly they are all at pains to nip any rumors in the bud.

I don’t think anything untoward actually happened but the optics were not good and embarrassing for Eugenie.

Agreed, it's such a daft comment. It's a bikini. It's supposed to get wet. Also, wasn't she swimming at some point? Amazingly enough, when you enter the water, you get wet.

I don't think Fergie's defence on the One Show actually helped matters and I don't think one of the models "explaining" why she was topless helps either. Especially as some of the defence I saw was "they're in Capri of course they're topless it's just par for the course."
It's like the Streisand Effect and drawing more attention to a story that's already last week's royal gossip.
The York's keep trying to change their sleazy image and this probably didn't help matters even assuming it was entirely innocent but it was over and now they have more quotes.

If I were Eugenie, I'd be telling Mom to shut it. She never makes things better, ever. I was disappointed to see this story, because Jack always seemed like he genuinely enjoyed being with Eugenie and wasn't just marrying her for the connections, but this is a very bad look. Whoever that was upthread who said she'd been suspicious of Beatrice's new husband but not Jack, I feel the same way.

Announced she is launching a weekly podcast called "Floodlight" for her charity, The Anti-Slavery Collective. It's focus is the fight against modern slavery and will feature interviews with experts on the issue. One episode is already available. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/floodlight/id1620586699She's close to Meghan. This is a niche issue similar to what Archewell is proposing. Maybe she ought to give her some pointers. Imagine announcing a podcast, having an episode immediately available, and then seemingly being prepared to actually follow thru. Amazing.

I haven't listened to it but I will give it a go this week. I think Eugenie and Julia are an example of having an idea or purpose for a podcast and Meghan and Harry are an example of people who said "do a podcast for a large contract? Sure, how hard could it be?" and then had to come up with something in an already crowded market place where Sunshine Sach's clients giving a bland thought for the day wasn't good enough because there's already 100001 celebrities spilling their guts about everything (including Harry). Even Archetypes probably isn't what Spotify were hoping for.
That said, it will be interesting to see if either of them appear on each other's podcasts to drive up press interest.
