Congratulations to her and Jack! I hope Eugenie has an easy pregnancy and a healthy baby.

I hope Jack has the grace, and sense, to stay off yachts bearing topless models this time around.

Well, not everyone in the royal family hates Piers Morgan. Eugenie and Beatrice had lunch with him, and the Daily Mail has all the pics. Scroll down to see Bea giving him a proper hug. I wonder if this will provoke the same outrage as Camilla having lunch with Jeremy Clarkson did. This gathering looks a lot more chummy than the holiday party Camilla attended where Clarkson was also a guest.

Surely Sussex squad should be up in arms about that. Hugging the enemy!

Those photos just reminded of how much Harry screwed Meghan over by making his grudges her grudges. She came into the royal family with a prominent and powerful media figure that she could call a friend. What an advantage. And instead of keeping him as a distant ally, she ghosted him and turned him into an enemy.
I have no doubt it was because of Harry's zero tolerance indignation towards the British press, because if there's one thing Meghan always understood, it was the value of being networked.

The York girls have inherited extreme sociability from their mother. They don't seem to have any snobbery or limits to who they socialize with. Also, I believe Piers Morgan is one of those people who has a love/hate relationship with the royals - he's kind of a luvvie - very social, runs in similar aristocratic circles - but his job is to tear people down. Bea and Eug know where their bread is buttered at all times.

but his job is to tear people down. Bea and Eug know where their bread is buttered at all times. It's interesting to me that Beatrice and Eugenie always seem to understand this so acutely. Was it because their parents raised them to be so pragmatic? I think of the analogy of Olympic medalists: Silver medalists are unhappy because it means they missed out on the gold, while Bronze medalists are happy they got on the podium. Beatrice and Eugenie have lived their lives maximizing their Bronze medals. People higher up in the family might be preoccupied with negative media coverage, but the Yorks aren't in a position to complain, only make friends and allies.

I think growing up with a father forever whinging about how he was the spare for decades could definitely inspire you to embrace the Sarah Chatto role and get on with having a life of your own.
