I'm sorry but this Farley shit is creepy. FARLEY IS DEAD. I realize Lynn thinks she needs the $$$$$ because her bandit of an ex-husband spent her fortune and all that, but ick. Couldn't she do a book about Edgar and Dixie instead? They didn't die in the strip, did they? Or she could do a book about April's rabbit, but then again that's probably not a good idea, since it would probably be about the rabbit electrocuting itself. I don't know why Lynn always seemed to find that "rabbit chews an electrical cord and gets a massive shock" thing so funny. I think it's horrible.

Actually, her ex did not spend her fortune. The accounts he closed were the checking account. All of Lynn's assets were safe. So no need to feel sorry for her. She's continuing this because she loves the attention.

Oooh, do tell. Lynn's been bitching about RodJohn having taken all her money-where did you hear he only closed the checking account? Interesting...that's obviously not what Lynn wants people to think.

It's mostly speculation that, because she is running this multi-million dollar empire, it wouldn't be as simple as RodJon just cleaning out the personal checking and savings accounts. There would have to be business assets held somewhere, so that she could meet payroll and other expenses. So it is mos tlikely that RodJon just took what he could and that LJ is simply playing it up as "I'm flat broke! Waaaah!!"

Not that we've seen EllyLynn have any tendency to play the martyr or anything.

Man, this Farley strip-a-thon is boooorrrrriiing. Move on, already. A week of strips about "will they or won't they get a dog?" when everyone and their cousin already knows the answer is kind of stupid, and now we get weeks of puppy shenanigans.

And strip-a-thon sounds way more exciting than it actually is.

You can tell today's strip is a new one by the way Elly thinks. "Whoa! Lemme get my camera!!!" is the way teenage April an' her hip friends would talk. Nobody ever talked like that in the original strips. Back then, Lynn wasn't always trying so hard to sound cool. And she knew how to spell.

I think this is the only way Lynn could make the strip interesting-write a disclaimer about how all the strips about Mike and Liz as grown-ups were just a figment of Elly's imagination, and that the strips we have now are a fresh start, and all bets are off as to what might become of everyone. Therefore Michael could get eaten by a crocodile, RodJohn could become a bank robber, Liz could marry a transvestite, etc. Best of all, this way Lynn could say April was imaginary all along, which we know is what Lynn has wanted for years anyway.
