I just wanted to add that it's good to see Marshall walking around upright. As opposed to convalescing in a mental hospital after trying to off himself. And he's moved on! Good for him.
chonies--Peter? I like Josh Malina, but that would be unwatchable.

It would be terrible, not just because it would mean ¡¡¡¡MOAR BRANDI!!!! even though I like her okay in small doses but also because it would just be so wrong to have the last non-tormented character (or post-torment, I guess) immersed in stupid torment. But I just thought I would throw that in there as a brief whispered prayer to the scriptwriters in the universe. I was covering my bases, ok? I'm still working on marathoning this show--I'm mostly done with season 2, and I like it even more now, especially since I've been catching episodes I missed in syndication. ETA: I agree, eclair, and because of the that, the story made total sense to me: Peter was upset because his parents were butting in, and technically it's not their prenup to make, right? I have no experience with this sort of thing, other than my JD, which I got at Law & Order University. ETA, again: I feel the creeping creepiness of obsessive fangirling, and I have since made the following discoveries: Paul Benvictor is only one year older than Frederick Weller, and In Plain Sight fan fiction is pretty bad. Even when it's well-written, it's still ridiculous because it just restates everything on screen--Marshall yearning, Stan kind of shlubby and bummed out, etc. I might turn up some interesting pieces, but still. BORING!

I totally missed that this series had started again, until I saw the activity in this thread. Luckily, it was on On Demand. So far so good. I don't think pre-nups are totally evil, though. A good one should protect both parties. But not sprung on someone by their future in-laws.

Anyone else see this? I liked the creeping paranoia, and I also like the small details, like using a friend's Facebook account. I thought the whole story came close to the edge of being OTT but didn't cross the line.
Also, spoiler chat: so...if Mary is supposed to be the MOH, does that mean she might have a drunken, celebratory hook and get sperm poisoned at the wedding? I also hope this means that there will be MOAR MARSHALL in Mary's absence, if there is one. I'm avoiding some stuff in real life, so this whole discussion topic is taking up way too much mental real estate.
In other news, I saw a casting call for extras in Albuquerque the other day and tried to figure out a way to make it happen. Also, I would love just one or two more Marshall or Stan-centric episodes. I would even settle for an exterior shot of either of their homes.

I liked the episode too. I liked the pace of it and I'm glad that Mary actually decided to be nice to Brandi in the end. And man, Jinx hit the nail right on the head when she said that Mary never grew up.
I've heard of some other people who have gotten on the extras list for this show, and I think they just showed up at a casting call and got on the list (though I don't think they've ever been called).
USA is also holding a contest on their site where you can win a trip to the set, so maybe you can get on the set that way!

Albuquerque is one of my favorite US cities (I'm after MrL to move there), so part of the reason I adore IPS are the location porn aspects.
Last night's episode was fantastic! Far more entertaining than LOCI's ep. I liked the WotW, I liked the story, and I thought Jinx and Brandi were used well. Maybe this showrunner really has a good grasp of how to balance the stories, which has always been IPS's weakness.

And I think the new showrunners are doing a better job of taking advantage of the city and the surrounding area already than they have in years past. They did a fantastic job showing off the city in the pilot, then not so much after. For the longest time I've been thinking "When are they going to shoot out in the desert?" then last week we got a scene at an old salt mine, which was cool. And we got some cool ABQ shots in this episode. I hope they keep it up.

Can anyone tell me what Winnie's note said? The sound cut out on my recording while the guy was reading it.
