Me too! That was actually a good episode last night. I did notice that Sookie's assertiveness is just as annoying as her flailing about looking for a strong man to protect her. The video store flashbacks with Ginger were terrific. Loved the scene with Jessica, Lala, & James.

Laughed when Ginger said she was at Tulane (my alma mater), then cried when I realized she was supposed to be there two years after I graduated. She totally picked Tulane because it's in New Orleans, where Anne Rice lived.

When it comes right down to it, I think the thing I'll miss most about this show is Pam's hair. Fanciest follicles in town.

I enjoyed the Fangtasia and Ginger backstory. I love Eric so much. That character makes the show for me. His slo mo walk that made Ginger's jaw drop ... Yeah, that's me.

I'm finally caught up with this show. Still loving Eric and enjoyed the backstory of Fangtasia. Pam remains awesome as does Lafayette. Before the last episode's sex in the car between Lafayette and James, I was noting how much more inviting the men's gay sex scenes are. There are sweet touches and breathiness, and I can't think of a single hetero sex scene that has been as effective at conveying desire without being totally ridiculous. I don't recall any of the women's gay sex scenes being good either. Perhaps most of the men are better actors? I was actually glad to see our favorite Christian back. I find her to be quite funny to watch - seriously, she has a phenomenal self-preservation streak.

ETA: on changing the actor who played James, I honestly had no idea that they'd changed the actor until I read it here. I was just wondering why he looked familiar and then remembered he was on GH. Talk about the other guy not making an impression.

Isn't the guy playing James also one of the werewolves on The Originals? I hadn't realized it was a different actor, either. That said, I don't remember that particular story line being that big, especially in comparison to everything else that was going on at the time.

I'm glad to see our favorite Christian-now-Buddhist back, too. Loved the scene with her and her mother in the bathroom.

You're right, Biondetta! He is Hailey's potential wolf pack life mate on The Originals. I totally missed that. I think he's cute and no worse an actor than Mangiowhatever. Speaking of Mangio, I will miss seeing that werewolf shirtless though. I'm looking forward to the next episode. I cannot wait to see the interactions between Pam, Eric and our favorite Christian. "I'm not a monster. I'm a Buddhist."

ETA - Ryan Kwanten must be tiny. I know his imdb profile says he's 5ft 10, but that must be in Tom Cruise measurements. Skaarsgard is very tall, but he looks about a foot taller than Kwanten not 6 inches taller. I was having fun watching their love scene by noting all the ways the director and cameraman tried to make their difference in size less noticeable.

I did actually think Sarah being "the cure" was a great plot twist, though, so kudos to you, True Blood writers (for once).

No kidding. The Last Season: When things get interesting again. (Except for OMG GHOST! TARA. Blech.) Her being in trouble with the Yakuza (they're like the Candyman, I don't even like to type out their name) made me laugh because of COURSE she would. Or of course they'd be the one that was behind Tru Blood. Whatever.
