Good Luck Charlie is so good because the mother is hilarious and the parents are believable and have chemistry. The kids? Eh. But I do think it's watchable. Too bad.

This rant by Selena has been painted by the media as a diss against Miley Cyrus, even though she never mentions Miley. So basically a positive message for young women gets twisted into yet another round of slut shaming and pitting women against women for the sake of a bogus catfight. Thanks media. We can always count on you to create and nourish society's negativity.

I have never been able to understand what slut shaming is. I mean what's so great about being a slut, male or female? Now, I don't think Miley is a slut; I think she's trying to act like one because today that's seen as cool and empowering. But IMO keeping your clothes on and your tongue inside your mouth is empowering, especially when every young female star seems to be doing it.

If you've got real talent, do you need to take off your clothes?

Slut shaming isn't about calling out women who are sluts, it's the perception that any woman/teenage girl who embraces her sexuality instead of being a sexless "good girl" deserves shame.

But I never felt that Miley embraced her sexuality at all. I felt she was doing it to sell her CD. To me, you don't have to go on TV and twerk some old man's crotch to embrace your sexuality. Years ago Bobby Brown was arrested for having simulated sex on stage and I thought that was stupid because it was obviously done for attention; if you have talent, you don't need to do all that shit. I think that's what Selena's saying.

Yeah, Selena and Miley have never been friends and have long been rumoured to hate each other because Nick Jonas rotated them as his girlfriends back in the day. One of the first bits of public trouble teen Miley got into was when she made a video mocking Selena and Demi Lovato and she was motivated by that boy drama.

I'm gonna give them enough credit to assume they've grown out of hating each other, but they definitely haven't become friendly. Selena and Taylor Swift are often at the same events with Miley and those two never acknowledge her, and vice versa.
