Picard = hawt.ness. Always. Even when they were trying to make him into Kirk #2, he was so damn hot. And if I saw Patrick Stewart up close and personal, he is one of the few actors where I know I'd go all squee-y and fangirly.

I broke the Riker No Beard = No Watch rule the last couple of nights and sat through reruns of TNG's pilot. Oh, the awsomeness of Patrick Stewart. It knows no bounds.

Newish article on Zoe Saldana and her hopes for Uhura in next Star Trek.[/color] I've been into her since Center Stage (yeah, I said it!) and really like her attitude, her professionalism...she just seems extremely grateful for her opportunities. I never knew she studied in the Dominican Republic; I think her family moved here for her to pursue dance and things took off for her from there. Beautiful young Af-Am woman doing good things? I'm all for it.

Zoe seems really cool and I really hope JJ grants her wish to let Uhura have a heroic moment! Also, I can't be the only one that would LOVE to read the emails exchanged the Star Trek's cast email group! Then again, maybe I am. I'm one of those weird people that loves it when it turns out a celeb friendships turn out to be real and not just for cameras.

Bumping for some bad news - Walter Koenig's son is missing. Apparently he was last heard from on February 16. This detail chilled me - Really, really, REALLY hoping this situation turns out to be not as bad as it sounds.

Dude. I had NO IDEA that Boner was Chekov's son.
But I too hope that he is found alive and well. This does feel bad - I had a friend in college whose father "disappeared" shortly before my friend was going to start medical school. They found him several days later parked at a remote construction site. He had committed suicide.

Same here and I watched the E! True Hollywood story of "Growing Pains"! Someone at one of the ONTD sites (there are so many it's hard to keep up) suggested that perhaps he just got caught up in the Olympic partying scene. It's a bit of a stretch but it's better than the alternative. And in case you were wondering Mike Seaver is praying for him. You know he probably means well but whenever Kirk Cameron gets going my skin starts to crawl.
