I like Serafina. Much better than the ubiquitous "Angel", and they can and apparently are calling her Sera. Violet and Sera Affleck.
But he "Elizabeth Rose" bit? Meh, and "Rose" is usually a name people pick when overcompensating for selecting a weird first name.

Why not just name her Sara/Sarah/Serah?? I don't mind Serafina but seriously, if you name a child Serafina...call them Serafina/Seraphina. I hate nicknames!!!!

I'm just the opposite - I love nicknames/shortened names. Probably because my name is one that cannot be shortened so it's like all formal all the time.
With this kid I was only so-so on the name if they were going to call her "Seraphina" in day-to-day life, but for some reason I totally dig that they are calling her "Sera" for short.
But I'm weird that way. I know someone named Jennifer who, while still a kid, decided that she hated being one of the million Jennifers at her school. Her initials are J.E.T., so she decided to go by "Jet". And for some reason I love that.

Ohh, and is her name Seraphina Elisabeth Rose Affleck or Seraphina Rose Elisabeth Affleck? I've forgotten already. But if it is the former she will be S.E.R.A. which is a bit like what your friend did kostgard

I actually pointed that out over in the celeb baby name thread, but alas, it's Seraphine Rose Elizabeth Affleck. It would have worked out so well if it was the other way around. And, I don't think it matters if the sisters have names that are so alike. I hate matchy, matchy or things that are too closely related. I think it's a good name, but someone else mentioned that Violet was Jen's grandmother's name? Since I'm a big family tree nerd, I tried looking that up and didn't find anything (at least not immediately) to support that. Was it on her mother's or father's side? I wonder if Elizabeth or Rose has a connection to? Maybe to Ben's family?

I vaguely remember it leaking that Jennifer's grandmother died last year but I can't remember the details. But yeah I've always heard Violet was named after one of Jennifer's grandmothers.
Someone on another board posted that Elizabeth is the name of one of Ben's grandmothers. No clue if there are any Garner/Affleck family members named Rose or Seraphina.

I'm on a life/parenting board and some women twist themselves into knots trying to pick names that "go" with their siblings first and middle names. When they are 21 and 18 years old, no one is going to say "Your name is Violet? That doesn't flow with your sister's name."

I like the name. Kind of grows on you like some unusual names tend to do. And at least it is a real name and not some made-up, trendyliciously spelled name. Wonder how long before we get a peek to see if the dimples are strong in this one too. What if she looks like Ben? (Would that be a good thing for a girl I wonder? Heh.)

What if she looks like Ben? (Would that be a good thing for a girl I wonder? Heh.) It seemed to have worked with Casey.
