No way he would have gotten a harsh sentence back then. The judge would have slapped him on the wrist and winked at him when no one was looking. The seventies y'all... Evil Times. I don't think the 70's were evil times at all, (affordable college tuition/affordable rents/cheaper movies) but Polanski was/is.

Roman Polanski pulls out of Cesars jury after outrage. What false information? Like Polanski being a child rapist? Aww, it's sad he's so deeply saddened. I bet his victim was deeply saddened too, and that she and her family were affected by his crime. I can't believe none of them thought there'd be no outrage over this.

I had to look up what an aesthete is: a person who has or affects to have a special appreciation of art and beauty. Since art and beauty are subjective, being an insatiable aesthete is entirely meaningless. Someone who collects clown figurines is just as much of an aesthete as Roman Polanski is. My definition of aesthete is a person who has or affects to have a special appreciation for pretension and arrogance by referring to themselves or others as aesthete.

I think the last person who could unironically call himself an aesthete was Oscar Wilde. Polanski is just a pretentious child rapist.

What false information? Like Polanski being a child rapist? He pled guilty, right? It wasn't an Alford plea either. Boy, bye.

There's no question he's guilty. He has expressed his remorse to journalists from the comfort of his villa in France.
This dude sure has a talent for making himself into a victim.

Good news is he is already 83 years old. He won't live forever.
He must be so pissed that people are still talking about this. I mean it's been 40 years and society usually has such a short memory. Not in this case. Ha Ha.

Dick should have just taken his token punishment back in the 70s. Served his time. Then this would all be water under the bridge. He did something bad. He owned up to it and suffered the "consequences." But now he will always be a law evading super scumbag.
