I would hope the fact that they think she's stable enough to transport is a good sign.

FWIW, from TMZ: Sounds like better but not entirely good news. Thanks for that update. That does sound a bit better then previous reports. Hopefully, this is something they can control.

I'm praying for her as well. She seems like such a lovely woman, and is very talented to boot.

FWIW, from TMZ: Sounds like better but not entirely good news. As much as I loathe TMZ, I'm a lot more inclined to believe them than Time Out NY. They do seem to be pretty good about checking sources most of the time. Brain swelling is bad, but fixable, yes? I've seen a bunch of those ER shows where people with swollen brains recover if their treatment is swift enough. I'd think that if she was in a really dire condition, they wouldn't transport her to another hospital. I'm not sure why I'm so invested in this, it's not like Natasha Richardson is someone I adore or even really think about very much. But I really do like her and wish that she acted more - she's terrific, and has that good breeding thing going on. I hope she comes through with minimal damage.

Why would the hospital tell TMZ anything? Unless of course it's a "source", and not official.

I hope things will be ok. I keep thinking about her kids. I hope they're ok. A few years back, my son was snowboarding and did a jump and fell flat on his back..head hitting the ground. Thank God for his helmet. He got up and skied down the hill. Medics were waiting for him. He broke his wrist and fractured his spine in three places. I worry everytime he goes on the slopes. Thank God his love is now golf not boarding. My prayers are with her and her family. Your son skied down the hill after breaking his wrist and fracturing his spine? Sweet Jesus in Heaven, does he feel pain?! On topic: I truly hope that the latest updates are closer to reality. I read that she'd gotten up after falling. They do seem like a genuine couple. They've been married quite a while now, too.

Th Docs said the wrist injury was worse then the spine injury.....though he had to wear a back brace for three months. Perez Hilton sure seems to want to be the first to announce a death doesn't he? I remember when he was saying Castro was dead. I still hope for the best for her. As long as there is life, there's hope.

TMZ is saying she's sedated and has brain swelling and their news hasn't been updated for an hour. Time Out NY still has not updated in over an hour and they are still saying she's brain dead. And now the NY Post is saying, as of 2:46 p.m. that she is indeed brain dead. I don't know what to believe, but let's hope TMZ is right.
Whatever the situation is, the way this whole thing has been reported is f'd up. All this does is cause family and friends more heartache. How hard is it to properly report if a person is deceased or living?! My goodness.

Sorry guys. I figured even though Perez isn't reliable, Time Out New York would be. I'm really glad that news wasn't true.
