Does anyone remember when the Today show was an actual news program?? And it was good! Jane and Tom and Bryant and even Katie before she became so annoying.....they reported news, a little celebrity stuff, a little cooking. And what I think is the worst thing about that is that they can NEVER allot enough time for the cooking segment! You can never learn how to cook shit because the chef can't get halfway through before they're being snapped at by all the co-hosts to wrap it up. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! That all having been said, I actually rather like Katie Couric.

I too am not really a fan. I am at work mostly and only see the show when someone I want to see is on the show and I add it to my Tivo. I can hardly bear to watch the segments sometimes. As far as her legs go, I will admit that they are the only part of her I can really stand.

I think Katie Couric comes off far better than Ann Curry, who seems rather dim at times. Did anyone here watch the particular segment of the "Today" show when Ann Curry was discussing the future of Communism in Cuba with someone and actually asked them "But what if Castro never dies?" I read about it in "Radar" magazine.

Katie is full of herself but Ann annoys me with her tragic voice, fumbling over copy, and the constant "good morning, this morning" during the news updates. It's no wonder she was never in consideration for the top slot.
In Turin, Katie allegedly hooked up with Alberto Tomba, an Italian skiing champion and heart throb from Olympics past.

So, it's official: She's heading to the CBS Evening News.

I wonder if she will have the news desk modified to show off her legs, I think it would kill not to be able to have them on display each day.

She irritates me to no end and has no credibility as a serious "journalist". She's perfect for covering dog shows but should leave world events to the experts.
I just wish her evening news gig was somewhere else, like Kazakhstan. We could get Ali G's alter ego, Borat, to heckle her mercilessly. ;D

So, it's official: She's heading to the CBS Evening News. Mark my word: After two years on the Nielsen's ratings depraved CBS Evening News, she'll move over to the morning show and fight it out with Mrs. Les Moonves a.k.a Julie Chen.
