Did anyone watch this? It was so, so very disappointing. I don't think I laughed once.
Amy Poehler was likeable, but it won't be enough to save this show.

It will be canceled before the 3rd episode. It was bad. Really bad.

As one of the few people who is underwhelmed by the US Office, I *really* don't need a second version.
I love Amy Poehler more than life itself but this isn't the right vehicle for her. Her playing the straight man isn't good casting -she's at her best when she's slightly (or not so slightly) unhinged - i.e. The Palin Rap.
So I guess NBC was trying to do a bunch of damage control because word came out that it BOMBED in focus groups but the focus groups were, for once, right.

The people involved probably have enough network goodwill built up that they'll be given time to tweak it. There's a lot of room to expand comedy-wise with the political setting. The set up also lends itself to a crapload of guest stars (a day in the DMV, another in animal control, and so on).

Ditto. I was not impressed with the pilot at all, but I'm willing to give it a few more episodes for Amy Poehler. I'm not optimistic though.

I think it'll survive for at least this season and next, because a) head honcho Ben Silverman is the guy who brought UK office over, and these guys did P&R, too - any failure of P&R is his failure b) the argument will be made that The Office took a season to find its footing c) NBC invests in quality programming, Friday Night Lights, 30 Rock, etc d) Nothing better to put on until Leno starts his 3 hour primetime block in 2012.

Lots of insider gossip says that Silverman is *this* close to being canned because of how bad NBC is doing. But, yeah, with them giving the 10 O clock hour to Leno, they really don't have much better programming to air. I get the commitment to "quality" but this isn't that at all.
All that said, I find whoever plays the dude Amy slept with once is hot. Rowr.

I expected not to laugh but then I did in spite of myself. I do think it's the Office meets the park, though, and I wish it were something more original.

I don't like the Office (I know, I know), but I gave this a chance. It's just not funny.

I adore The Office, and I thought this was terrible. It's just way too similar to The Office style-wise, without the funny. Amy Poehler's character is essentially a female Michael Scott.
