Season 2 is a definite improvement over S1. I think they did the right thing by pairing up Rashida Jones with Paul Schneider and letting Leslie Knope date the local cop. Also, adding Andy as a permanent cast member was genius. That guy is so endearingly dumb. He was great in the Halloween episode. The episode with Megan Mullaly cracked me up (she is married to Ron Swanson IRL)! Loved that the deputy of the library was an evil temptress! Because it is so true!

I adored the halloween episode. Pikitis! Leslie's sheer joy during the TPing of the Pikitis house was infectious. I also loved Andy screaming "Five-O" and diving into the hedges when Leslie's cop boyfriend showed up.
I have yet to see the Megan Mullaly episode, but I love the fact that both of Ron's ex-wives (and his mother) are named Tammy, and he doesn't see why some would find that strange.

I once dated a guy who had 2 ex-wives with the same first name. I 'm not sure what that says but I always found it very weird. And um, I shouldn't have been dating a guy with 2 ex wives when I was 22, but that's a whole nother ball of wax.
Topic? I think this season is far and away better than last. And that makes me happy in a twisted way because Regis Philbin (who I love) is the father in law to the guy who created and writes the show. And I think the cop who loves Leslie is adorable.

Resurrecting this thread because the show has improved so much. It's actually overtaken The Office for us after watching all of season 2 on Netflix over the holiday and the season premiere last night was hilarious.
The Ron Swanson pyramid and the way he was dressed as Bobby Knight (which I didn't even notice until he started acting like him) were both awesome.

Missed it on Thursday night but caught it on the internet.
Very good, I laughed out loud several times.
The basketball game was great, especially Tom's refereeing.
The date was also good. I am not a big Rob Lowe fan, but his character cracks me up.
I was confused for a bit about the the Fall Festival talk, forgot they held the premiere of the show until now.

It was a solid episode. I've missed the show and I'm glad to see it back. I felt really bad for Andy, come on April forgive him!

I'm glad it's back, too. I was one of the many viewers who hated the first season and stopped watching. Then I caught a few episodes of season 2 and thought they were pretty good but didn't understand how all the characters were connected. Now I've gone back and watched the whole series on Netflix and think it's one of the most charming shows on TV. It's got that Office seasons 2/3 vibe right now where the whole cast is clicking, but I think that Parks and Rec is sweeter than The Office ever was. I pull for all the characters, even the new ones played by Rob Lowe and Adam Scott. I really, really hope that coming on after The Office will improve the ratings and convince NBC to keep this show on for a long time.

Megan Mullally was back on as Ron's ex last night and it was disgustingly hilarious!

Ron Swanson in corn rows with the middle of his moustache missing was hysterical. And Rob Lowe is beyond hilarious.
