The first season was not great but it was only 6 episodes and by episode 6 it seemed to be finding its way. There was just such a leap in quality between season 1 and season 2 that season 1 stands out as the worst season.
I wasn't crazy about the series finale. It was a little too sweet for my taste. I like that P&R was a nice show but even still it was a bit much. It was fine, it didn't ruin the show or anything but I was hoping for something funnier. That being said it feels like an end of an era. There was a time when 30 Rock, P&R, The Office and Community all aired on the same night on the same network. Now they are all finished except Community which is on a different channel with half its cast gone. I can't think of a single comedy on NBC now that I watch.
