The other guy is Michael Cudlitz and I agree with you that we should see more of those two and of Regina King. He's an amazing actor! I've never seen him before and at first I thought he was going to play the cliche hardass cop, but he's bringing so much to that role. And....icon love Belluccissima

I continue to love this show. When Cudlitz said in the tattoo parlor, "What does a f*** look like?" I knew it was on! He's a great actor, glad he's found a vehicle where he can shine.

NBC is slowly becoming the UPN network: soon to be obsolete.
Southland is a show that should be on at 10 p.m., but this whole Leno thing has hurt NBC's ratings and for dramas to have a chance.
Maybe USA Network will pick it up.

Yeah, I didn't realize how dumb the Leno placement was until well, now. Fox already has news at 10...two major networks are now ignoring 10 pm dramas. Annoying.

My husband and I reluctantly got into watching Southland. We were reluctant not because the show was bad but because it was so effing AWESOME that we were sure it would be cancelled. We'd been burned by Life On Mars and didn't want to love again. But then Southland gave us the closeted cop. And the guy from the OC who managed to not only not suck but actually be pretty great. And the crazy cop who rolled the cruiser. And a baby in the middle of the street. And Regina Damned King with a Big Damned Shotgun blasting away at baddies. And we loved again.
And we were burned. Again.
NBC, we're down to 2 shows with you: The Office and 30 Rock. That's it. Whatever one hour dramas you air from this point onward, we just don't care. Take a flying leap.

I felt the same! I was so psyched when they renewed it, but thought it was odd I wasn't seeing any ads for the premiere... That's a real dick move, for viewers and certainly those relying on the show for income. I'm basically watching all of NBC's shows I like (the ones you mentioned + Heroes, dguzpy) online. Gone are the days of Must-See TV. What a disappointment.

That's good to know. I hope TNT gives it a decent time slot.
A little OT but I actually feel a void not seeing a 10pm drama on NBC. It used to be a routine to spend a couple hours with comedy, then finish my night with ER/Southland. Thursdays just aren't the same and I can't convince my mind this is ok.

I hope it gets picked up by TNT or another cable network. It would be great to see how gritty & real they'd make it if it wasn't on regular TV.
The deal with Leno just sucks & is going to kill NBC.
