I'm really sorry. As I wrote above, I really tried to get it to work and to just have the link which is: LinkI followed the URL link procedure which has always worked in the past, but somehow this time it doesn't work and the photo itself shows up. Promise, it wasn't intentional. ETA: Damnit, it did it again!!! I don't understand it and I really don't know how to stop it from doing it. I merely wrote out the the original URL. Mods, if you want to delete all of it, please go ahead because I really don't know how to fix this. Please accept my apologies.

If this story is true, then I am mega-surprised that Caroline and Ernst even have sex any more (assuming that this baby isn't a gift from the IVF gods). Given the extent of his alcoholism I wouldn't think he would be able to do the deed anymore ... and I can't imagine her wanting to be with him. Shudder.

I'm just mega-surprised he's still alive! About a month after his release from the hospital and coma, he was shown with a brandy glass in his hand and something which looked suspiciously like ... duh... brandy in the glass. Apologists were quick to leap forward and say that it could have been ice-tea but, really, don't insult my intelligence. Someone raised as E-A, with his arrogance and hauteur, isn't going to have ice-tea in a cut-glass, expensive crystal brandy snifter!
I don't know if you ever read some of the royal boards out there but, man, some people would excuse or justify a triple homicide if it were committed by a royal! It irritates me to no end. I wish more people on CPMCoG were into royalty because there wouldn't be the painfully, embarassingly obsequious snivelling which I get on other sites.
Back to Topic: I've never understood Caroline's interest with E-A. Actually, I've never understood Caroline herself. My siblings used to know the Monaco lot quite well and even dated some of them. As a result, I've met all of them (we used to live in Monte-Carlo for donkey's years). Anyway, Stephanie is really unbelievably nice and so down-to-earth, but Caroline....

A snotty, elitist b**ch I imagine? I can so imagine her being rude to someone that she considers not classy enough. Even though that family as a whole are simply not classy.

A snotty, elitist b**ch I imagine? I can so imagine her being rude to someone that she considers not classy enough. Even though that family as a whole are simply not classy. She wasn't snotty, per se. Just cold, aloof and haughty. I've known quite a few "royals" in my life, some of them extremely well in a personal context, in college and otherwise. Most of them have always tried to act as though they were like everyone else; they've always tried to be down to earth, even if it's a pretense which is a complete joke. Caroline is one who never even bothered. Perhaps that makes her more real but, personally, I don't think so. That said, there are a lot more people who are more fake, irritating and hypocritical than Caroline; namely the woman whom this board is called after, her father-in-law Constantine (who is one of the biggest SOBs around, IMO), and a few of the Middle Eastern royals. What's sad is that the people I know are actually worse than Rania of Jordan in some ways, even though Rania is channelling Marie-Antoinette in owning a pair of solid 24K gold, jewel-encrusted shoes. Solid Gold shoes and a constant couture addiction, all the while pretending to be so concerned about the poverty of some of her country's Palestinian citizens... Actually, Rania is much worse than Marie-Antoinette ever was,but her corruption or hypocrisy belong in a different thread. Back to Topic: Caroline is an adulterous cow who got what she deserved when she stole her best-friend's husband. I'm not a prude about sex but stabbing your best friend in the back by sleeping with her husband....that's just inexcusable, imo,

Why am I not surprised? Topic: on a royalty forum (I can't remeber which one),there is some pics of Caroline with a bump like she has nowadays, but dating from 2/3 years ago. So maybe what we saw now is just...well, natural. She had 4 children and is in her late forties, after all.

Why am I not surprised? Meaning what exactly? If you're implying that I mentioned MC solely to curry favour with the board host, then you're mistaken. I happen to have met MC; as well as her sister, Alex, who went to my school for a brief period of time. MC's husband was at my 21st birthday party and sat next to my mother; his brother was one of my closest college friends for many years. ETA: I seem to have misunderstood the tone, as well as what Elissa was implying. In fact, I seem to have completely misread her post and her meaning. I'm sorry for having been somewhat B****y in my reply, and hope she will accept my apology.

Thanks, guys. No one on the boards is allowed to be bitchier than Marie Chantal!

I don't get the theory that Caroline married EA to gain a higher title. His HRH doesn't mean a thing; like all Germans from extinct royal houses, he uses his title socially. The country called Hanover ceased to exist when it was annexed to Prussia in 1848. German legally abolished all royal and noble titles after World War I. EA is not a royal and never has been.
