She cannot be serious. Kate and Jon were married and both working when they used fertility treatments to try for a third child. Octomom used a sperm donor and ended up with octuplets when she was already a single mom to six kids living off of her parents. It's hardly the same thing.

Before I get smacked for watching, I was watching Little People at 11pm and intended to go to bed afterwards. Fell asleep on the couch and woke up to K8 screeching. That voice is soooo irritating.

Apparently on this week's episode, Kate told the kids to eat their lunch in a certain order. I'm pretty sure it's not that unusual for moms to tell kids not to eat dessert first, etc. but of course it has brought forth dramatic recollections of traumatic childhood experiences.

When I was a child my moms BF was pretty mean.He would make us eat things that HE wouldnt even eat.I remember one night he made my brother and I eat beets.We didnt know what a beet was...never had them before.I gagged and choked,and even tossed them back up.I was told I would sit there until I ate them...after so much time went by he tried to shove them down my throat.
How this reminds me of kate is...The "joy"? on his face..the rush of "I have the power...I'm in control" the smug ass look of satisfaction on his face...brings me to kate.She holds the "power" over the kids.She is smug and mean.All they know is that kate has complete control....no one can help them....not even thier dad.They have seen what happens when someone Disobeys mommy dearest...They go poof!

The fear those kids live with everyday must be terrifying.My god...they cant even enjoy something like lunch time...where they can sit with friends ,eat some food and relax! They will always hear that bitches voice in thier heads...DO IT THIS WAY OR ELSE!
She makes me sick! She is damaging these kids.They will be forever scarred for life.

I didn't watch, but was reading "Anonymous's" comment above about Kate making the kids eat their food in a particular order.

I am almost 44 years old, and STILL have horrific memories of a babysitter from hell when I was little, who did the same thing. We had to eat all of the sandwich first, then the chips or crunchy whatever, then the cookie or whatever, and we weren't allowed to take a drink of anything until ALL of the food was eaten. Not a sip. The sandwiches were always gross, so it was miserable to sit there and try to choke that thing down before you could have anything else ( most of the time it was livercheese....blech! ). I remember sitting there crying many times, dying of thirst and not being able to take a sip until I ate an entire sandwich I hated. I thought it was very evil and cruel and uncalled for. You've got some serious control issues if you dictate what order a person eats their food. And people who make little people eat food they don't like, well they just suck. I grew up and NEVER forced my child to eat something she didn't like, and NEVER made her eat in a particular order. She turned out just fine. Slim and healthy and no food issues.

I still see that mean old babysitter every now and then. She still scares me. It's one of those childhood memories that sticks in my head because of the bad emotions that came with it.

Oh for Xenu's sake, you're 44 fricking years old, the statute of limitations on what a mean babysitter did to you (barring actual physical/sexual abuse) has LONG PASSED and you need grow up, move on and get the fuck over yourself. A babysitter once locked me and my sister out of the house when we were being bratty (and claimed that the gate "accidentally" got stuck) and if I were still harping on that at age 29, it wouldn't be the fault of the babysitter or Kate Gosselin, it would be mine. Stop paying the cable bill and start paying for therapy.

I have developed a physical aversion to Kate. I actually feel sick when I hear her speak. It's almost fear.
I don't want to see her on tv or hear her. I can look at pictures, but that's about it. I've heard several other people talk about this "kate-phobia" as well. You can bet I don't watch anything she's on; not even the little clips and interviews.
I still know as much about the shows as the people who watch, I think. I feel as if I've watched, anyway!
Once she starts nauseating you, it'll be easy for you to turn it off, too.

Kate-phobia...it's spreading like wild fire. Soon to be discussed in a journal of psychiatric disorders.

Ok, if she doesn't watch "anything Kate is on" and has a fear of her, why would she so discombobulate herself by looking at pictures, if that's about all she can stand? Wouldn't you want to completely avoid the things that make you fearful?

But then again, doing so would rob the StoryLady and other GWoPPers of the enjoyment of their mean girl "I got 87,452 ways I'm a better mom than YOU, Khate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" mentality.

Nonsensical PamelaJaye has popped back up. I swear I can read her posts on Small Town Gosselins five times and have no clue what she is saying.

Sorry I have been missing again. But I have determined that I am suffering from Fixation Overload. Now that I've figured out what the problem is... I used to only fixate on Scott. Now there is Scott, Grey's Anatomy, Gosselins, Facebook Privacy, new TV season, friends on Facebook (friends in Real Life too - went out Sunday for what was meant to be 2 hours but ended up being 6. fun though!), ducks, bunnies... Every time I get to one, I find myself apologizing for being absent, due to doing one or more of the others.

I just found out yesterday that Irene and Sherry went to PA! Read their reports last night on Z (thanks guys - if it wasn't in one place I would have missed it) and am just getting here now.

Skimming, sounds like you guys had fun while dealing with the serious business, and appreciate you going, as someone put it, on our behalf. Sorry for the illness :-(

I'm off to read this post now - in between visits to the bathroom to see the bunny (I'm allergic, which means she needs to be in one room, and bunnies need attention, so I have to go visit her frequently. Hopefully when Florida cools, we can play outside more.
