AJ has been noticeably balding since Millennium, at least (and I was a teenie fan then who thought everyone was cute, but even I could see that).

Yeah, the hairline was waaaay back during Millennium. and it's even further back now. I don't blame him for wearing hats all the time, but it ain't helping any. Brian seems to be doing the comb-forward-to-cover-the-hairline-or-lack-thereof trick now, which makes me sad. Everyone else isn't looking too shabby, though.

It's about five guys whining about being lonely...well, they've got EACH OTHER, right?

I have problems with individual singers whining about being lonely (I'm looking at YOU, Rob Thomas). So, when five do it at once...

It also comes off like of those Bon Jovi power ballads, which I also hate with a passion.

I was a fan too, back in the day. Waaaay back, and I went to several shows and met them. Never liked Nick though. Boy's a skank. I can tolerate their comeback-song, and I listened to snippets of their new album on iTunes and it's whiney and dated. Come on guys! 'The one' was my favourite song. Kevin used to be the hottest looking guy and I can't help but thinking his face looks like Snoop Dogg's nowadays. It's pointy.

I was a fan too back in the day but the new album? It's like they took a reverse Darwin pill and devolved musically. Not a single one of the songs has an opposable thumb. Bleh.

The Call is still the coolest song they ever did and AJ needs to ditch these guys and front his own rock band.

I'm an immature, early 30-something and I love these guys. Their music is fun, shallow pop and sometimes that's all I want.

Nick's an ass (and yes, I had a crush a few years ago), but Kevin earned my eternal love about a month ago. Some radio station in LA was interviewing him and one of the other guys. Kevin took the opportunity to snark on Paris Hilton, basically calling her a cruel, lying, classless famewhore. I think the interview was linked in Paris' thread, because I'm sure I heard about it on this site.

Good times.

Oh yeah. Just saw their new video. Now, I'm sporting a full-up hate for these dudes.

"Sphinkter"? WTF? Are they trying to insult us heavy metal fans from back in the day? I mean, you can make fun of it (Bowling for Soup did it in an almost sublime way in the video for 1985), but these guys are just going at it like heavy metal is just stupid...and that's just insulting to both the artists and those of us who fondly remember listening to it.

ETA: Oh yeah, these guys should watch "This is Spinal Tap" to see how making fun of heavy metal is really done.
