We had a nice little thread going about them back at the boards that shall not be named, and with their new CD out today, I think they need a thread here.
Speaking of the CD, I bought it and sort of love it. Anyone else brave enough to admit the BSB love?

Sure. At least 2 of them are in their 30s. But hey, look at what happened when New Kids on the Block decided to change their name to NKOTB.

I watched the Backstreet Boys' "Behind the Music" the other night. I thought I was over BSB (I haven't listened to their cds in years), but I couldn't resist! I put a few songs on my MP3 and I am ashamed to admit it! Hey, jam on cause Backstreets got it! That freaking line has been running through my head!

I bought "All I Have To Give" off iTunes earlier this week.
(*stands up proudly*)
You know some r&b groups were salty about "this pop group" getting a song like that.
And it's about the only BB song I care for.
AJ pulled off "the weird guy in the group" much more effectively than Chris Kirkpatrick.

Weren't they trying to transition to using "BSB" instead of the full name? Or at least it seemed that way at one point.
I loved them and have all their CDs ('cept for the new one). I caught an old SNL that they were on - singing "As Long As You Love Me" (my fav song). And my god, I honestly had never noticed just how bad/cheesy the choreography was. I mean they were dancing with folding chairs. It was just awful - though they did sound nice.
You know, they should just kick out Nick Carter and replace him with either his younger brother or A-Fed from American Idol.

Oh yeah, forgot about the Beach Boys.
They and their style of music still seem very juvenile to me though. Like the modern version of Sha-na-na (that group that did 50s doo-wop music well into the 70s, and played the part of teenage hoodlums and greasers when they were 20 years past that age.)
