Last week was the season finale, it's not on again until the fall. Not even in repeats? I know they had a successful first season, but I thought that would rerun it over the summer to attract more/new viewers.

Okay. I completely forgot about the AI finale. That makes more sense. I would be shocked if any network didn't replay a popular new show over the summer to hook new viewers. Especially a show aimed towards kids and families.

I've only seen one or two episodes. I'll use the summer to catch up on this much like I did last summer with 'The Big Bang Theory'.

After seeing the whole season, I still like the show, but not *quite* as much as the first bunch of episodes. It kind of felt a little less snarky and maybe a bit watered down as it went on, but I'm still a fan.

14 Emmy noms, including: Guest Actor Fred Willard, Supporting Actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson AND Eric Stonestreet AND Ty Burrell, Supporting Actress Julie Bowen AND Sophia Vergara, and Best Comedy. It sucks that all the adults but Ed O'Neil got nominated, but it's a damn good showing.

Meanwhile The Middle got nothing. Forget Manny. Brick got robbed! And so did Patricia Heaton. She is way better in her role than Julie Bowen. Modern Family seems to have captured all the hype. This reminds me of ELR and KOQ. Raymond got all the accolades and awards and KOQ was left in the dust, even though KOQ was consistently funnier (IMO) and Kevin James deserved at least one win for the 9 seasons the show was on.

I'm surprised that I'm agreeing with a post that sings the praises of Patricia Heaton, but I am. I like Modern Family, but 14 nominations with everyone but poor Ed O'Neil, who I think should have been nomination, seems a little excessive. Of course, I can't really begrudge them their success since there's a lot worse nominations in the comedy categories.
