The Smiths Girlfriend in a Coma--lyrics and upbeat music don't really match...
Girlfriend in a coma...I know, I know it's serious. My, my, my, my, my baby goodbye. There were times when I could have strangled her... But you know I would hate anything to happen to her...won't you please let me see her?
All the while there's this reggae sort of beat going on in the background. It's quite funny.

I think Edge of the World by Faith No More might own this thread.
I'll tell you all the things You want to hear Don't worry, baby There's nothing to fear
Hey, little girl Would you like some candy? Look into my eyes I've seen it all Hand in hand Together we fall
We'll sing and dance And we'll find romance And we'll stroll to the edge of the world
Come sit right down Lay your head on my shoulder It's not the point That I'm forty years older.
I'm extra disturbed because I'd been listening ot it for about 10 years before someone told me that it's about a child molester. d'oh. (I still like the music though).

I love how a thread initially started in connection to Halloween - a scary, spooky song list - has gradually morphed into a jailbait perv songlist.... Roman Polanski's iPod playlist, basically. ;D
I bet old Roman is groovin' to these tunes in his jail cell right this minute.

NDSP- perhaps we have an idea for a new thread all it's own? My submission for track one of the What's on Roman Polanski's playlist is "Sex Dwarf" from Soft Cell-
"We can have playtime, in my little play room.." "Run my little sew dwarf, I feel so lonely- get my little camera, take a pretty picture..."

Things like Sex Dwarf and Girlfriend in a Coma are full-on camptastic, but could totally be creepy if taken literally or heard by a young 'un. But the real point is, they're WAY too good for Roman, dammit! He's welcome to "If I Could Fly" et. al., though. Eyeeew.

You have just sent me back on a trip down memory lane and not for the good lol. I was very involved with a weirdo at the time that album came out and out of all the songs he thought that should be our song. Never mind that it really made no sense to our "relationship". Shoot, he was only two years older than me but he was a nutjob. Wanted to go to the mall on Christmas Eve with an oozi to take people out to prove how much he really loved me. That relationship did not last much longer thank God although I hear he was back around and may be contacting me through FB. God I dated a bunch of losers/wackjobs. They seem to be drawn to me even to this day.

Hee. Maybe. And thanks to this thread I had a bad dream about my ex last night. I guess I should be glad the song wasn't playing in it!

Another entry in the really creepy perv songlist is "Jeanny" by Falco. The song is about the musings of a stalker, and was inspired by the serial killer Jack Unterweger. It is in a mixture of German and English, with the German parts spoken and the English parts sung. Here's an all English translation of the lyrics. The video only increased the creepiness for me, see here.

And for those of us old enough to remember, there was Sammy John's "Chevy Van"
a song about picking up young girl hitchiker (they don't specify how young) and having sex in his Chevy Van.
Is there anyone else who is not really missing the 70's?
eta- That Falco video is super creepy!
