I am really hard to creep out. I watch horror movies all the time with no problem. But oy, Tom Petty's song "Mary Jane's Last Dance" really, really gives me the creeps. Especially with the video. Tom plays a morgue worker who steals a woman's body and brings it home, where he proceeds to treat the body like a live person, dancing with the corpse and sitting opposite it at the dinner table. It's all totally fucked up.

Just had to throw in a 'good' word for Foster the People's "Pumped Up Kicks." In the wake of everything that has happened since I first heard it, I am literally ashamed to like this song. (Not like I was proud before...)

Not so much the song, which I love but the video Dont come around here no more Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Context, the 80s, Ireland only TV access to music videos was a brilliant little show MT USA, this video was always on and freaked me the hell out, looking back its a bit trippy for a very naive teenage mind... |

Didn't know Forgot we even had this thread. I get really skeeved out when I hear 'Pretty Young Thing' and 'The Way You Make Me Feel' ( hey pretty baby with the high heels on just seems so wrong. |

I recently listened to "Stay the Night" by Chicago, a song I haven't listened to in years. I used to love it but now when I hear the verses "I won't take 'No' if that's your answer / I guess that's my philosophy," I don't think "Sexy!" I think "Date rape!"
