After watching that Falco video I am totally creeped out. Even more so after I Googled the killer's name and read about him. How the fuck does a serial killer talk (write) his way out of prison? Gah. Need a hug now.

When I was a teen, I loved "Strong As I Am" by The Prime Movers. I first heard it in the dark with headphones on, and that pretty much sealed it in my mind as one of those "love to feel creeped out by it" songs. (It was used in the movie Manhunter, the first film featuring the character of Hannibal Lecter onscreen, but I didn't see the movie until decades later.)

I read the whole thread, and I am totally surprised the song "Something Stupid" by Frank and Nancy Sinatra hasn't popped up.
It has a beautiful melody, but if you listen to the lyrics and you realize that the song is performed by a real life father/daughter duet and was a major hit record, I cannot think a song that fits this thread.

Oh, good call on "Hazard." The video is creepy too. (And isn't there also a "part II" to that song?)

I heard the "Ballroom Blitz" song on the radio again yesterday, (the station totally blew the format to play it, too--creepily unnecessary occurrence) and now I'm paranoid another natural disaster (or political scandal) is about to befall us.

John Lennon later said that he thought he wrote a sexist piece of crap in that song. I try not to listen to the lyrics because DAMN, it's got a kickin' guitar riff!

I tend to skip over that one when my mp3 player picks that one in the car--the kids can wait for that one until they're old enough to disregard the lyrics.

Yeesh, that's creepy. I'd forgotten all about it.
