Who gets the commission when Randy swoops in and finds the dress? The sales consultants always seemed pissed, but maybe that's just a pride thing.
I'm still blown away by the amount of money these people spend. If you ask for anything under $3000, they look at you like you're crazy. I would seriously have to sleep in the dress for the next year in order to justify it. I can't imagine loving a dress that much, and then sticking it in the closet for the rest of my life.
Yeah, I'm so not a bride.

I would imagine it's just a pride thing, but if Randy wasn't there, it seems like in many cases the consultant wasn't bringing the right dresses anyway. Of course, I have no real idea...
Next week looks like it has a "Randy messes up" motif, although it was hard to tell judging by the teaser clips with the Southern Establishment Pearl-Clutching Mafia. "This makes you look sexy" isn't too terribly offensive, but I wonder if they are saving something more "inappropriate" for the episode.

You can buy a great pattern and get a perfectly lovely gown made for under $2000.

1) Lord, I'm tired of strapless. So, so tired. I don't want to see that upper arm acreage and back-ne anymore. Put it away. Look into sleeves.
2) Grooms should not be this interested in dresses. My rabid feminist mind just can't accomodate this new trend.

Especially with the large women - the big boobs and fat arms just don't work in strapless! It's amazing that so many women don't see that. They look freakish and much heavier than they really are.
So whatever happened to Claudia? I just started watching, so I have no idea where I am in the show. She was having bad reviews, and she was bitchy about them. Did they can her? And why, with all the consultants they seem to have, do we constantly see Keasha and the chick with the weird short blond bangs?

They totally fired Claudia. I loved the story line about Claudia getting her reprimand or whatever the HR term is for it. About the other consultants and screen time, I wish I knew.
As an aside, I bought a halter neck dress because I have big boobs, but I promise, for the sake of everyone's eyes, I have been working really hard on toning my arms and back.

When is your wedding, chonies? I hope you post some pictures. I think a lot of the consultants may have just said "No to the Show".

Armpit muffin tops, boob shelves, and sun damaged skin are no bride's friend. Cover it up ladies! There have even been a few times they've zeroed in on big time stretch marked boobs hanging out in the plunging necklines. I don't know what the camera guys are thinking when they do that.

Maybe I'm just superstitious, but when/if I get married, there is no way my fiance will see me in my dress before the wedding. Besides, sometimes surprises are nice. The biggest problem I have with these couples on the show, however, is that it often comes across as co-dependency. There was one bride who brought her fiance along because she didn't have any other close friends or family members. Oy.
