Elin for being married to the world's most famous athlete has always been under the radar. Tiger though is an admitted control freak, that and the alleged cheating rumours, maybe she had enough as well. There just is something not right about the golf club story. Who runs outside with a golf club?

The TMZ story makes more sense than a sober man crashing into a fire hydrant and a tree at a speed of 30mph, then his wife smashing the window open with a golf club. As soon as I read that his main injuries appeared to be cuts to his lip, I thought they'd had a fight. He's then left the house, she's chased after him with the golf club, breaking the rear window as he's trying to drive away, then he's lost control of the car and crashed. That actually seems more plausible to me than the "official" version.

Elin isn't the sweet Swiss miss I mistook her for. Still don't know if the cheating stories are true or not, but she obviously had had enough. Whatever, beating up on your spouse is just not cool. If Tiger had smacked Elin I doubt anyone would care rather or not the cheating stories were true - he'd be labeled a wife beater and that would be that. I can only imagine the outrage in this thread if she had been trying to drive away and he had bashed the window out with a golf club.

Celerydunk, if she had been the one driving away, Tiger would have broken the back window out with a well placed knock-down 5 iron shot

She'd get the motherload in a divorce (even with a pre-nup - two babies are really her trump card). Going after the guy with the ironic golf club is messed up. TMZ is usually extremely accurate because Harvey Levin is a lawyer. He's pretty careful about what goes out and when.

I saw an aerial shot of Tiger's home at another site. Holy crap he must have been driving fast to cause that kind of damage to himself. His driveway isn't that long, it is almost a U turn. I can't believe their neighbours didn't hear this, their houses are quite close.

This story is just filled with wtf? for me. His wife scratching his face so he needs hospital care? Also hitting his car with a golf club? Tiger so messed up on drugs that he's "disoriented" when the cops arrive? Car crashing in to hydrant and tree? I mean, if he was cheating I understand her being enraged, but scratching someone's face is nasty, unless you're being assaulted yourself.
Some of Elin's family lives very close to where some of my Swedish family lives and Tiger has visited a lot of times but always been incredibly low-key. This whole car/scratching mess is just so Sopranos.

Ginger, I know she's Swedish. It's just a term I used. No offense meant to her heritage.
Never condoned abuse, so I'm not sure why my post was quoted and commented on.

It's bizarre, but it makes a lot more sense than the story still floating in the mainstream media. She "saved!" him by pulling him out the BACK window of the SUV. Only I doubt she would be strong enough, it's dumb to break a window so far from the victim, and the "accident" itself amounted to nothing.

The more I thought about the story, the less sense it made. Unless the car was on fire why would you risk pulling someone who was semi-conscious out of the car? If he had neck and/or spinal injuries she could have seriously injured him or paralyzed him. I would have called the paramedics and waited by the car.
