Board gods, please don't yell at me if there's another thread for Tiger in here. I searched and didn't find any. Just close me up if I'm a double. Anyway, Tiger has been seriously injured in a car crash near his home. Poor thing. I hope for his sake he wasn't under the influence. It might end his career, but I really wish him all the best. |

Oh no, that's awful. Here's hoping for a full recovery.
I also hope there was no alcohol involved. Tiger seems like such a controlled person, it's hard to imagine him even touching the stuff.

The accident happened at about 2:30 am as he was leaving his home. He hit a fire hydrant. Hate to say it but it sounds like it may be alcohol related. Must have been driving quite fast.

As usual, the media exaggerating things. He wasn't seriously injured. He had facial lacerations. He's been treated and released from the hospital already.
ETA: No alcohol was involved. He pulled out, hit the hydrant, the SVU careened into his neighbor's tree. He was going under 33 mph when he hit the hydrant, since the airbags didn't blow.

Sounds like it's going to get ugly. Leaving his home at 2am, for where? A National Enquirer story (I know) just came out about Tiger sleeping with the same chick who was sleeping with David Boreanaz!

Sounds like it's going to get ugly. Leaving his home at 2am, for where? A National Enquirer story (I know) just came out about Tiger sleeping with the same chick who was sleeping with David Boreanaz! That's the first thing that came to mind for me. I wonder if perhaps he fought with his wife, stormed out, and basically did something stupid. I mean, hitting a fire hydrant, then a tree, but not drunk? I'm thinking he was pretty upset about something, but who knows. |

I'm glad he's OK. I'm actually wondering if it was somehow Thanksgiving-related (weird schedules, fight with the in-laws, whatever).
