Kesha claims she was forced to sing Die Young. Well, she signed on to be a music industry puppet and walks around with the dead eyes to prove it. No mystery there. She might want to disavow herself from the stupid 'let's have an orgy and worship the devil cause we're so cool that we wanna die young' video too while she's at it.

Considering she's listed as a co-writer of that song, what a cowardly thing for her to say.

She's full of crap. She should own the song, own that she did it or just shut up.

She's so stupid. Did she or did she not write this song? If not, then that puts the rest of her catalog in question and that she's not the self-proclaimed writer she professes to be. It makes her look like a puppet (which she entirely is). She's just so stupid.

What? That's so stupid. Is she talking about this? Let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die young. If so, isn't that just a variation of the cliche live/dance/whatever like it's the last day/night of your life? That's hardly a new sentiment. Is she just trying to stir up controversy?
She is the worst. I mean, the worst. I feel like I want to like her music because it's so poppy and catchy, but when she starts with that godawful white girl-singsongy rapping, it's like nails. On. A. Chalkboard. And she does it with this Alanis-like yodel. Just the worst.

Isn't she getting criticized for the song because of the Newtown shootings and this is her (dumb) response to it? I'm not sure how a song that's been out for months is inappropriate in light of recent events.

I'm not sure how a song that's been out for months is inappropriate in light of recent events. As I understand it, the song was merely dropped from radio station playlists because of the lyrics. Is there anyone criticizing her for including the words "die young" on a song released months ago? Agree that her reaction is stupid. Just stay silent or even agree that it's not appropriate to play the song now.

It's possible she wrote a verse or two and the chorus was written by someone else, or that she wrote the music, not the lyrics. She could still legitimately have a songwriting credit while not actually being responsible for the chorus. Labels force singers with much more success than Ke$ha's ever had to sing songs they don't want to all the time.
I do think it's bad form for her to discuss label politics now and she deleted the comment. She did also tweet that she was sorry for anyone affected by the tragedy and that she understood her song being considered inappropriate.
