I liked Underworld 1, but I didn't like the ending whatsoever. It just seemed to go on and on. I will give the 2nd one a chance as it is 'supposed' to be better.

Oh, poor Speedy. UW2 is getting savagely panned. Has anyone seen it?
Much as I love him, I could barely sit through UW1...and that was in my living room, so I won't be heading to the theater this weekend.

Well, it wasn't hailed by the critics, but it did very well at the box office - $27.6 million, besting #1 by six or so million.
I'm guessing that they're going to make another one.

I guess that is a good sign if it did well at the B.O. A few people I know who have seen it says it is pretty good. At least we get to see Scott again if he comes back for the potential 3rd one.  |

He's handsome (though I think his looks can seem kind of off or wonky sometimes) but I don't think he can act that well. Or...maybe he doesn't have much presence.
His acting on Felicity wasn't bad, but I suspect that that's because he fits better on the television screen. But on a movie screen it seems like he almost disappears. He has enough presence for tv, but not enough for the movies....which is why I'm surprised he'd rather not do TV.
I guess he's ambitious. But it seems like his ambitions exceed his level of talent.

He might be better off in smaller movies - I saw him in Kitchen Party and thinking he was decent. (I saw it at a film festival I was volunteering at - see enough movies and "decent" gets to be high praise!) I wasn't as impressed with Underworld, which I had rented to see Wentworth Miller. |
