I honestly didn't think she got out of her bed for less than $1M. I'm annoyed to learn that they pay people to perform at the Inaugural Ball.

Let me clarify a little here since I got the info second-hand. I’m not sure if she was paid to do the inaugural ball or not. The rep could have been using it as a simple “appearance with song” example since it was a “privately-held” event that the general public had media access too - ensuring that our rep would have been able to relay the info to us in a relatable way. She may not have been paid or she may have been. Not sure.
As much as I like her, I'm not sure why she was a choice to sing at it anyway. But then I don't understand the Ricky martin choice either. Eh.

I have to say, $100,000 sounds like an absolute bargain to get Beyonce at an event. She is one of the few true pop superstars out there, so I can see understand why her people don't make it easy to book her for private affairs. Her name would send tickets flying out the door, so even for a charity appearance, I don't think that's an outrageous number.

Aw. That's cute. I think I don’t get the excitement because I’m an old curmudgeon.  I just don’t get nearly as excited about music now as when I was young. She probably would be worth it for a charity event. I don’t know much about how those things work, but I imagine thta it would get it a ton of attention. |

Ha! Seriously.
And if I was half as famous and successful as Beyonce I wouldn't fly commercial either. Waiting on the tarmac for three hours at Heathrow Airport in some lame ass American Airlines First Class? After you've waited in their absolutely horrid boarding lounge? I don't think so. My answer would be something along the lines of, "I'm Beyonce" as well.
