I loved watching his reaction when the got the Oscar nomination. I know it seems to be Jeff Bridges' year but damn. I'd like to see Jeremy him win, at least, I hope this will get him more roles.

So happy for Jeremy. First time I saw him act was in an episode of Angel and I thought he was terrrific - have been a fan ever since.

So I'm not the only one who remembers him from Angel? I'm rooting for him to win the Oscar based on that alone.
(Heh, 'rooting' means something entirely different in Australia, but I mean the American 'rooting')
IMDB says The Hurt Locker was released in Australia on the 4th of Feb, but the cinema website says it's coming on the 25th of Feb. FFS, this movie has 9 Academy Award nominations, why do we have to wait so long to see it? I should have just bought the DVD on Amazon. I still might.

Weird little movie, but Jeremy giving the role his all makes it work -- and Gabrielle Union is even convincing with her character.

I discovered him back in Dahmer, and I'm so glad to see he's getting recognition. You guys jogged my memory to him being in North Country and 28 Weeks Later.
He's (well, and Olivier Martinez) pretty much the reason I sit through S.W.A.T. every time I catch it on basic cable.

I'm pulling for him so hard. I want an Oscar upset in the worst way. The Hurt Locker was one of the best movies I saw this past year. Squeee!  I saw The Hurt Locker a couple weeks ago, came here looking for a thread for Jeremy, didn't see one and felt too embarrassed/fangirly to make one. First saw him in 28 Weeks Later where he was the best thing about that crap sequel. I think he had a magnificent performance in HL and I'd be really tickled if he won. The film and all of the performances were some of the best in the last few years. |
