Critical but stable sounds not good. Best wishes to him and his family.

According to reports a saftey feature on his slow plow failed and ran over one of his legs. One of his neighbors is a doctor who applied a tourniquet. He was air lifted and is in critical condition because he lost a lot of blood. It sounds like his neighbor saved his life.
I think the biggest concern right now are the complications of blood loss: organ and tissue damage.

That sounds absolutely horrible. Glad that his neighbor was a doctor. I hope that he’ll survive and he won’t lose the leg. What a nightmare.

I was like, “Who owns their own snow plow?” so I read an article on him. Evidently, he collects heavy machinery like snow plows and fire trucks.
He actually sounds like he would be an awesome neighbor. He refurbishes fire trucks for local departments and volunteers with them. He turned one of the fire trucks into a party bus for kids.
And he plows the neighborhood.
I bet he has a generator and space heaters. My next door neighbors keep our end of the street going during natural disasters.
So not the best co-parent or ex-partner, but definitely the person you would want to know during a flood, fire, or blizzard.
I hope he recovers.

I wonder how long it was before his neighbour found him.

I just read about the blunt chest trauma and injuries to his legs/feet. Both areas are scary because of the arteries involved and I hope he's able to make a full recovery.

What would be an example of blunt chest trauma? Could he possibly have gotten trapped under the snowplow/run over?
