No Country For Old Men is a good movie in theory and really well acted but just felt unfinished in a way. I can kind of see what they were getting at (out with the old) but it bugged.
Josh Brolin was excellent. Javier Bardem was so-so. He resembled the midget king from Shrek a bit too much to be truly menacing. And his secret weapon was stupid.

It's bugging me a lot more that it's winning all these awards and I already despise it. By the end of award season when I'm sure it'll get Best Picture since there is no clear competition in the BP category, I'll hate it even more. The ending spoiled the whole movie for me as well.

National Treasure 2 - I don't even remember the subtitle.
I really didn't like it, or at least I liked the first one way better. This one was so forced, all plot developments occurred instantaneously with no suspense, the character 'developments' were stilted and annoying.
Most importantly, the plot hinged on >> The OLMEC building a city of gold in SOUTH DAKOTA. << This broke my brain, so very very badly.
The villian was so much less villianly than Sean Bean, and there was no suspense. Everyone just cooperated with Nic Cage and his magical hair plugs.
Lastly, my theater played an 8 minute Goofy cartoon in front of the movie. It was really bizarre. Did anyone else get that?
I also wish movies would stop ending with obvious, pointless intentions for >>money grubbing sequels.. <<

The Great Debaters: Excellent movie. The cast was amazing, especially the younger cast. Denzel and Forrest always bring it, but Jurnee Smollett, Nate Parker, and Denzel Whitaker held their own.

It played in 2 of my local theaters here before NT, so I guess they go together. Before a kid's movie this might be appropriate, but it made no sense with this one and was a totally unfunny waste of time. I was actually disappointed that it wasn't some sort of advertisement because at least then it would have had a point.

I hated it and found it awfully boring. But what I came here for. Just saw El Orfanato (The Orphanage). It was pretty good, entertaining, and the actors were terrific. Unfortunately, I could see the ending from a mile away. Nevertheless, a few times at home I find myself doing a double-take to a dark corner - he!

Lord help me, I went to see Alvin and the Chipmunks. Such as steaming pile. I hope my kid grows to appreciate the sacrifices like this I've made on his behalf.

No one in the audience laughed and everyone seemed equally confused as to whether or not it was an advertisement or they were playing the wrong movie. It belonged in front of a movie targeted at a younger audience exclusively.

I saw Persepolis yesterday. Awesome, touching and funny. I went in knowing close to nothing about the Iranian revolution and got a nice little education, but it was much more than that. I guess this might be a cross Unpopular Movie Opinion post, but I loved both this movie and The Diving Bell and the Butterfly much more than Atonement and Juno. Sorry...
