That guy was restrained. I'd be tempted to beat that woman to death or stone her with my smuggled in m&m's. Rude, talkative movie goers are high on my pet peeve list. Some people shouldn't be allowed to watch movies outside the home.

I so need to institute a rule like this with my BFF. I love her, I do, but whenever we're watching a movie or an episode of a TV show that I've seen before but she hasn't there are just non-stop questions from her. Questions that are answered if she'd only just be quiet and watch the freaking movie/show. I have that friend in reverse. She likes trivia, so she reads all about the movies and shares what she has learned. "They cut a part from the book. The main character.." or "I read some reviews and we really have to watch for the scene where..." "see that guy in the background reading the paper. He was also in another movie you've never heard of." etc, etc. And this is for stuff she hasn't seen before. I refuse to watch anything she has seen. It's really pointless to anyway, cause she has literally said things like "Ok, see how Bruce Willis' character just got shot and now his wife is crying? The rest of this movie, he will be dead." I could SO be that person, yet keep my mouth shut.

I went to see the Hunger Games yesterday morning. It was fantastic, but the child behind almost made me lose my shit. She started kicking my chair before they even turned off the lights. About 20 minutes into the movie, I turned around and politely said, "Will you please stop kicking my chair?" She didn't even look at me. About half an hour after that I had had enough. I turned around, stood up and said, "Stop. Kicking. My. Chair." She looked scared, and I thought that she had finally gotten the message. But, oh no, 10 minutes later she kicked my chair so hard that my boyfriend felt it. I turned around (again) and yelled, "Are you serious?" Honestly I had no idea what to do. And she never really stopped. I was very tempted to go to her parents afterward and ask if she had some sort of disability or something.

I saw The Hunger Games yesterday in a packed theatre with tons of teen girls and was shocked that there were no cell phones lighting up the theatre or constant squealing like I was expecting. I guess when the movie is something they really want to see, they'll keep quiet!

If I'd done something like that, my mom would have just given me a look that said, "Wait 'till we get home, kid." I would have stopped.

I'd have gone and gotten the manager, I think. If little missy can't be arsed to respond when someone has asked three times, and her parents aren't keeping a handle on the kid, she (and they) should lose her shot at watching the movie.

Not all of them. My daughter saw it on the weekend and said there were a group of young teen girls behind them who babbled, squealed, laughed, gasped, and protested (when something wasn't identical to the book) loudly and constantly. Ugh.

That's why I chose the last Hunger Games show of the evening, and fortunately there were only adults. Blissfully peaceful viewing.

I saw a matinee on Sunday and it was also teenager-free, I had no problems at all. The only annoying noise came from me when I yelped as the mutts appeared.
