Add me. Was it necessary to the movie? I mean, I never like to see animals die in films, usually it leaves me weeping on the floor. However, in the context of this movie it makes sense BUT it is still hard to see.

Add me. Was it necessary to the movie? Yes. Spoi ler/ Spoiler Colin Farrell partners with a woman with no feelings. She thinks he's lying and tests him by waking him one morning and telling him she kicked his dog, who is Farrell's brother, to death. He lies and says he never cared about his brother, and he looks down to see her lower leg and foot covered in blood. He goes to the bathroom and sees his brother's bloody body on the floor and cries. She starts slapping Farrell, calls him a liar, and runs off to tell management.

So we went to see Wonder Woman last night. A 7:25 showing on a Sunday night, opening weekend. Good sized crowd, but not
My thoughts; 1. The row ahead of us? Was a group of about 15 people, who kept saving seats, getting up and down through the film. Then during the film, for some reason, were on their phones looking at Tiger Wood's mugshot.
2. To my left, a young couple. They chatted a lot--and kept turning on their damn phone.
3. To my Roomie's right, a woman who was by herself--and checked her phone. (Seriously people?)
4. Finally--a 7:25 showing that didn't get out until almost 10:00 on a Sunday night.....why the fuck did this couple have their two small kids there? The kids chatted through the film. At one point the little boy ran up and down the aisles....it was fucking ridiculous.
Overall great film, fucking terrible patrons. Why pay 15.00? To see a movie you're not watching?

Went to see Atomic Blonde last night. Movie is full and some guy in the front row is checking his phone all the way through the trailers which is fine with me. I'm all for it until the movie starts then put it away. He puts it away and the movie starts then he starts checking it again. Puts it away then a few minutes later checks it again this goes on for the first 15min of the movie. I paid to see the movie not see this douche bag text.
I get up and start down the stairs and sit beside him on the stairs, he was on the aisle. I'm all..hi, you keep checking your phone and the light of it is shining in my eyes and everyone else behind you. It'd be great if you'd stop doing that or move to the back of the theatre so we all can't see you texting. He just looks at me and doesn't say anything and I walk back to my seat. A few minutes later he gets up and heads to the side of the theatre where the corridor is covered and blocked from the main theatre and he checks his phone, so we all can't see the screen shining. He got up a couple more times during the movie which I'm assuming he was texting where we couldn't see him so I consider it a win.

Yes ElleCee! There was a late teen (senior high school/collage age) girl in front of me texting. I gave her the Vulcan trapezoid pinch and whispered in her ear, "You are bothering me. Put your phone away." It was probably way creepy and terrifying for her. But I bet she never used her phone in a movie theatre again.

That is the nice thing about seeing a movie like Dunkirk, everyone is a bit older and everyone sits in silence.

We showed up a bit late to a fairly full showing of IT this weekend and ended up down in front where there were only 2 other couples.
One of them sat only 2 seats away from me despite the completely empty row and proceeded to talk at regular volume for the entire movie. Not super loud but definitely not whispering or even talking low and not sporadic comments either, just having a regular conversation for 2 hours.
This theater has a bar and they both had drinks so maybe it was one of those "not aware of how loud you're being" situations but still...you know you're in a movie theater, stop talking! Or just go out to dinner if you have so much to say to each other, because I don't think their conversation had anything to do with the movie.

I have no qualms about telling people to shut up anymore. Movies in NYC are way too expensive to hear running commentary. On the other hand I basically pay to watch with a loud expressive audience for things like Get Out and the Fast & Furious movies.

This morning, at the last minute, I decided to go see the first matinee of "Three Identical Strangers." Go on Fandango and select my seat and, at that time, there are no other seats selected. So I get to the theater, walk in...and there's only two other people in the theater in the two seats right next to the one I selected. What kind of weirdos, when told to pick their seats, pick the two next to the ONLY selected seat in a theater?
