The trailer for Clammy Tom's new project. It warms my heart that it looks like ass. Streep is coming across as lifeless and Tom is doing his usual intense style of acting - oh and he's sporting one of his fetching waistcoats. watch here

Cruise looks like he's playing Dad's dress up at the office in that get-up. I wonder how far off the ground his feet are dangling.

The full trailer for Elizabeth: The Golden Age is out. I love Cate Blanchett so much. I don't know who the other actresses being considered for the Best Actress Oscar are next year but Cate has got to be the front-runner. Elizabeth: The Golden Age

That new Redford movie trailer is... remarkably amateur. And, speaking of amateur, the grainy, hand-held footage for the " Untitled JJ Abrams Project" was frustratingly obtuse. Most votes around us went to "Godzilla Remake". The website is even more useless, if Finding Out Anything At All is your goal. And, this only serves to get you caught up in some wierd, Cthulhu-y puzzle and email annoyance.

re: Tom Cruise/Redford/Streep project...agreed. shitty trailer. doesn't give me anything about what the film is about. doesn't inspire me to want to learn more.

That new Redford movie trailer is... remarkably amateur. And, speaking of amateur, the grainy, hand-held footage for the " Untitled JJ Abrams Project" was frustratingly obtuse. Most votes around us went to "Godzilla Remake". Godzilla was my first thought, too - especially since someone mentions that the guest of honor at the party is going to Japan, so it could be a shoutout to the original movies. But the Godzilla movie with Matthew Broderick didn't do that well, did it? So would JJ Abrams really want to do another remake? The Elizabeth trailer looks fabulous. I'm so looking forward to that movie. I'm really intrigued by the There Will Be Blood trailer, and how it sets the tone without giving away much plot detail. Definitely one to see, based on the preview alone.

The latest thinking is that Untitled JJ Abrams Project features some sort of ginormous (it's a real word now!), Lovecraftian monster called forth from The Beyond by puzzle-type objects and Malign Math or somesuch. All hail Cthulhu! The idea is ferociously interesting but, dang, grainy, hand-held footage throughout? Hmmmm.
And I'm a huge fan of everything PT Anderson does, so that There Will Be Blood trailer is, like, the opposite of rehab.

Saw the trailer for Across the Universe...I liked this movie the first time I saw it, when it was called Hair. Hee! But c'mon, mrscathead , the Baby Boomer coming-of-age experience has been so under-represented in film these past 30 years...

From the trailer for The Simpsons movie, Spiderpig just kills me every time. If the rest of the movie is one tenth as funny as that then I will be one happy camper come July 27th.
