I had to stop reading the Twitter Cats movie hashtag feed because it is not appropriate for me to laughing this hard at work (I'm trying to stifle the shrieks of joy and someone actually came to check if I was choking). Suffice it to say some days I love the Interwebs.

Do we really need all of these Marvel films/streaming shows? I'm specifically looking at Hawkeye. Who asked for that? Also, didn't Loki die? Or are we going off End Game where Cap screwed up, and a version of Loki escaped?

Do we really need all of these Marvel films/streaming shows? I'm specifically looking at Hawkeye. Who asked for that? Also, didn't Loki die? Or are we going off End Game where Cap screwed up, and a version of Loki escaped? I'm not a hardcore Marvel fan, but I've enjoyed the series up until now immensely. Going for forward, I can get behind the reboot of Blade, a Dr. Strange team up with Wanda, and even a Falcon/Winter Soldier series or movie. But the rest? Hard pass. Hawkeye is the least relevant and barely a proper Avenger. I don't care about him, his life, or his family. I don't want to follow him, nor will I. I don't want to see Natalie Portman as Thor, or back in the MCU in general. I was perfectly fine with her cameo in Endgame, and was looking forward to Tessa Thompson being the new Thor. I guess I'll have to wait and see how that plays out. But WandaVision is no. The Eternals? No. Loki? No. He's been overused. I couldn't imagine an entire series built around him. So that's a "Yes" to Spiderman, Valkerie as Thor, Thor leading the Guardians, Black Panther, Blade, and Dr. Strange and Wanda teaming up. I have no idea who Shang-Chi is, but I'll give it a whirl. The rest? Nope.

I am actually excited for the Falcon & Winter Soldier series. Those two characters had great introductions (or re-introductions) in the Winter Soldier movie and then got pretty much sidelined as the subsequent movies had bigger and bigger casts. Plus the actors are funny on the press junkets together so if they can translate that to the series, it should be fun at least.
I'm happy they appear to be diversifying with Eternals and Shang-Chi. But yeah, most of the others don't really set me on fire.

Ok I wasn’t familiar with Fred Rogers until a popped into this board and many of you quote “his look to the helpers”” quote and think fondly of him so this trailer I just casually clicked on A Beautiful day in the Neighborhood because of word of mouth on here, Well I’m a little all asunder now, so thanks. Blows nose, wipes eyes, leaves thread...

Won't You Be My Neighbor? was one of my favorite movies last year--not just favorite documentaries, but of all the movies I saw I think I rated it either 2 or 3 (yes, I'm the weirdo who makes a list at year's end and grades every movie I saw that year). If A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood lives up to the promise of the trailer, that'll be high on my list this year.
Also, I didn't know Matthew Rhys was in it and now I'm doubly excited.

If A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood lives up to the promise of the trailer, that'll be high on my list this year I am so over the moon for this one. I was crying throughout the trailer and think that Tom Hanks is the perfect man for the role. Mr. Rogers is so important in my household and has a huge place in my heart. We truly need more Fred Rogers in our world today.
